Chapter 35 : "Back With You"

After a Week

It's been a week, in one day he will go back to Manila. His heart beats faster with the mere thought of seeing her again. Alejandro's trip to Frankfurt is over, his last day he spent buying little things for his mother and Elena and also for her family. He also bought something for Pam, his secretary.

His stay in Frankfurt was productive, the project he was overseeing was launched successfully. It was another line opened by Velez Express serving the European market. He will be coming to Frankfurt every month until he sees it running stably.

He was packing his luggage with the goodies he bought and some of his clothes when his phone buzzed.

He took it from the side table and read the message- it was a message from maiden24.

Alejandro smiled. He was too busy and yes, he was not sure what he would say to her. He was thinking twice whether or not to meet her. He was curious about her also, yes- but he likes Elena too much to not think about her, maybe not even like her too much- maybe even love her!

He types his reply to maiden24,

Hi- i was away and yes, busy.

I will let you know for sure if I'm back is that ok?

Alejandro finished packing and making sure he has his passport and electronic ticket. He called ahead to the reception to check out and his taxi was waiting to take him to the airport.

His flight is to arrive around five in the afternoon in Manila. He plans to see Elena immediately when he gets there, but he has to go home first to get his car.

Elena was cooking dinner, her mother is inside her room sleeping while Joanna, Miguel and Daniel are watching tv at the living room.

She is almost done with the last dish she was cooking- kare kare. She finished cooking chicken afritada and pork adobo with potatoes.

"Ate, ang bango naman ng mga niluluto mo! Ano bang okasyon at andami naman ng niluluto mo!?" Asked Daniel while snacking on mixed nuts.

"Wala lang- bakit ba? Feel ko lang naman magluto kasi andito na si nanay at saka first regular homemade food ang kakainin ngayon ni nanay- so ayan para naman masarap ang ulam nya ngayon? At alam na alam ko naman mamaya sarap na sarap naman kayo," she said while laughing.

Elena was wearing an apron on top of her house dress, her hair up clipped with some of the strands falling on the side of her face. She was sweating with the heat from cooking.

"Oo nga Dan, huwag ka ng magreklamo, ang sasarap na nga ng ulam natin baka mamaya hindi na yan magluto ulit si Ate eh," Miguel added.

"Kayong dalawa tigilan nyo na si Ate, inspired yan magluto, nag-aaral na yan .." Joanna said and grinned wide.

Elena arched her eyebrows at Joanna," Anong nag-aaral ang pinagsasabi mo dyan?" she asks.

Chuckling, Joanna said," Wala ate joke lang ikaw naman- kalimutan mong may sinabi ako okay?"

"Kayo ha may itinatago kayo ha? Sumbong ko kayo kay Nanay," Daniel said.

"Hoy Dan wala kaming itinatago, ito naman kung makapagsalita..hayaan mo na si ate dyan kay Nanay..may tamang panahon para siya ang magsabi, di ba Ate?" Joanna said and winked.
