Crazy for You (COMPLETED)

Chapter 22 : "Can this be Love?"

He always wondered how it feels to fall in love, now he knows.

Alejandro silently looks at Elena lovingly, her warm hand around his. He wasn't sure then, but now he is. He is sure of himself, he is in love with this beautiful woman whose fingers intertwined in his.

Elena feeling warmth like someone is looking at her, lifted up her head and looked up at Alejandro. She caught his gaze and she instantly blushed, and realizing her hand in his- tried to pull her hand away, but Alejandro didn't let it go. She looked down and smiled at herself.

She likes the feeling of his hand on her.

They both continued walking back in the waiting area.

As they go closer, they saw the doctor standing as if waiting for them.

He nodded at them as soon as they got closer.

Elena asked Dr. Perez, "Mag-uumpisa na po ba Dok?" Her face now back to being worried and scared.

"Oo, here is the waiver that you have to sign.." as he handed it to her, "You should read it before you sign," he added.

"Yes, Elena read it first, do you want to sit?" Alejandro asked.

She nodded and sat on the bench.

"Just give it to one of the nurses when you're done. I gotta get ready," Dr.Perez said.

Elena nodded as she carefully read the waiver. It just says that she agrees with the operation and that she waives her right as soon as she signs the document and her mother's fate is up to the doctors and how well her body reacts to the procedure. It says they have done all tests beforehand and that the patient is stable enough to handle the operation.

Alejandro read it,too.

"It's the usual stuff..they just want to cover their asses for malpractice just in case..." he explained.

Elena signed it, it is up to fate indeed.

Alejandro took the document and gave it to the nurse at the nurse's station. She said the operation is soon to start.

Alejandro sat by Elena and asked her if she wanted to go to the chapel. She nodded, stood up and took his hand, she feels weak and tired and scared.

Once inside the chapel they sat next to each other as Alejandro let her pray, he knows she needs it. He is there to comfort her but he knows she is still worried and will remain that way not until the operation is over.

It should take a couple of hours.

He asked her if she wants to have a little shut eye.

Confused, "Shut eye?" she asked.

Alejandro smiled, amused.."I mean kung gusto mong matulog, ihilig mo ang ulo mo sa balikat ko..if you want.."

"Ahhh..pa-shut eye shut eye ka pa kasi...hindi okay lang ako..tsaka nakakahiya naman kay Jesus oh.." she joked.

Then she stood up.."Tara..balik na nga tayo don sa waiting area..."

"You're done? " he asks.

"Oo..ni-remind ko lang naman Siya eh..sabi ko bahala na Siya kay Nanay.."

He smiled and followed her.

Elena smiled, she was relaxed now. She set her feelings of being scared free. She will accept whatever it is that will happen to her mother.

She looked back at Alejandro, smiled at him. She feels different, she knows what her heart is telling her, but she is not ready to listen, yet.

"Halika..." she said to him and took his hand back in her hands.

They sat back at the bench - Alejandro gently pulled Elena's head on his shoulder so she can relax and maybe sleep a little.

She was embarrassed by it, they looked like they were boyfriend-girlfriend. She looks at him again.."Hala mabigat ako baka mangalay ka lang.." she said.

"No..hindi naman buong katawan, ulo lang naman..sige na, promise hindi kita iistorbohin.." he said.

She gently lay her head on his shoulders and closed her eyes.

A for awkward, Elena thought. "Carry na nga," she thought. She closed her eyes, but she got distracted when she smelled his scent, it was both the combination of his natural smell and a slight touch of perfume.

There's that feeling again, Elena thought. Naliliyo na naman sya. "Ang bango naman nitong lalakeng to..paano naman ako nito makakatulog, pero in fairness- ang sarap humilig sa kanya..hayyyyy.." Kinikilig nyang sabi sa sarili nya.

Alejandro tried to close his eyes,too. He was tired after a long day at work, but he can't concentrate- her body is so soft- she smells so good. He is tempted to kiss her but stopped himself. Next time there's a kiss to happen- he wants it coming from her, not him.

He smiled, maybe in his dreams. But he can only hope.
