Chapter 26: The son

THIRD PERSON

Yeonjun just got inside his apartment after he runs some errands. Lisa told him that he could take a rest today, so Yeonjun uses the time so that he can visit the hospital and see the Chairman. No matter what happened between them, he was still thankful that the Chairman accepted him and offered him a job.

Before the Chairman hired him as his all-around secretary, Yeonjun suffered a lot because he lived on his own after running away from home because some dude would sell him in the black market to become a helper. After his father died, the young man can only rely on his father ever since he was a kid because his mom abandoned them when he was still a baby.

Until now, Yeonjun hasn't seen her yet, and he's not sure if she's still alive until today, but he wasn't planning on finding her the woman who didn't even care about him in the first place.

When Yeonjun was done preparing, he was ready to go to the hospital. He was now heading towards his apartment's living room, but then he heard something on his front door. He stops what he's doing and walks slowly in front of the entrance to look at the peephole.

Then he saw three people outside, but they are wearing a cap so he can't see their faces, and also they dress like they are some workers or something. So he immediately runs inside his room and gets his phone inside his pocket. After that, he dialed a number and wait for the person to answer. After the first ring, the call connected.

"Ne, Yeoboseyo?" he heard Lisa's voice in the other line, but Yeonjun didn't dare to speak and put the phone between his ear and shoulder as he hides the important files on his secret cabinet, and that's when he heard the front door opening, it means the three men are already inside his apartment.

"Yah, Yeonjun? Why did you call?" Lisa asks again, but Yeonjun still hasn't said anything, but instead, he continue to hide the confidential files inside the cabinet because these might be the reason why they broke inside his apartment.

Then he heard a crash outside the living room, and it looks like they are destroying the things inside. After a while, the noises stop, so he puts the phone down, walks outside his room, and sees a dark hallway.

He then walks and hides in the corner, and he catches a glimpse of his now messy living room. He was about to turn and walk out of the hallway when something swings out of his face that almost hit him on the head, but luckily he dodges it and crawls towards the sofa.

"DOWAJUSEYO!!" Yeonjun shouted as he continue crawling on the floor, he heard Lisa's voice on the phone, but before he can answer, another man was now standing in front of him and ready to hit him with a baseball bat, so Yeonjun rolls on his other side that causes the phone to loose on his grip.

Then there's a cracking sound, and he knows that the man steps on the device. Yeonjun then runs towards the kitchen to look for a knife. When he turns around, he saw the three Bulgars standing in front of him, and each of them was holding a baseball bat.

"What do you want from me?" Yeonjun asks them and the three men look at each other as they nodded their heads like they are having a conversation to themselves.

"It's you that we want," the man in the middle said before launching himself towards Yeonjun and swings the baseball bat, but Yeonjun saw a frying pan and shield himself with it.

"Aishh," he mumbled annoyingly and ready to run away from the kitchen, but the other man blocks him and gets the chance to hit his left shoulder, which almost falls him down the floor because of the strong impact, Yeonjun groans in pain.

He sees another swing of the baseball bat, but then he manages to stop the second attempt of that man, and he immediately holds the baseball bat in his hand and kicks the other man behind him that stumbles back on the floor.
