Chapter 19: Stay with me

THIRD PERSON

"What happened Chu?" Jennie asks her best friend who had a worried expression on her face while she looks at her fiancé lying on the bed inside the medicube.

"I - I don't know, she just fainted while we were walking our way back here," Jisoo replied, still not taking her eyes off her lover, she's scared that something might happen to her if she blinks.

"Luckily we were there when it happened, I thought for a second that someone shot her," Joy said but immediately regretted it because of the dark look she received from the people inside the room, especially from Lisa. 

She then zips her mouth.

"Saem, we already run some test to Dr. Park and....." Namjoon said while holding a chart in his hand. 

Jisoo then looks at him waiting for him to continue.

"She's pregnant."

Their jaw dropped, literally. Especially Jennie who quickly turns her head to Jisoo with wide eyes. Jisoo on the other hand, was speechless and she tries to find her voice but she can't.

"Wh- what?" Jisoo finally asks again because she thinks she just misheard it.

"She's pregnant... wait she's what?!" Jennie exclaimed with wide eyes when it finally hit her.

"It- it worked?" Jisoo mutters to herself but because the room was silent, everyone heard that and she looks at her fiancé with glistening eyes

"How did that happened?" Jennie then asks Jisoo who's looking at her fiancé then back to a puzzled Jennie.

"Is Rosé cheating on you?" Jennie added and that's when Jisoo snapped out of her thoughts.

"A- Ani, it's not like that," Jisoo said nervously.

"Then what? Tell me," Jennie ask with authority in her voice, Jisoo then gulped.

"Uhm, we...we did the IVF process," Jisoo said looking at her hands because she's scared that Jennie will get mad, they didn't mean to hide it from her because they're still not sure if the process will work.

"What? why didn't you tell me anything about this?"

But before Jisoo can reply, Lisa clears her throat to get their attention.

"We will leave you two to talk," Lisa glance at Jennie and smiled a little at her, before she gestures Wendy and Joy to get outside, Namjoon also excuses himself.

"I'm sorry Jen, we didn't mean to keep it from you," Jisoo said feeling guilty.

Jennie then sighs but Jisoo then quickly added.

"I swear Jen, we didn't, it's because we're still not sure if the process will work to Rosé so we didn't tell anyone about it, except for our parents of course."

"When did you guys plan this?" Jennie asks softly while looking at Rosé who's sleeping with a serene face.

"About a month ago, before we came here," Jisoo said honestly while looking at Jennie.

Jennie then sighs again before she looks at Jisoo and she smiled at her. Jisoo then sighs in relief.

"I'm happy for the both of you," Jennie said sincerely and Jisoo can't help but smile.

"Thank you," when Jisoo said that, her tears betrayed her and she cried. Jennie immediately engulf her with a hug, she never saw Jisoo cried before that's why she's new to this kind of scenario.
