1 YEAR LATER... (I know, I know, but you'll see ;) )

The sound of hushed cursing and creaking metal platforms were heard along one of the wooden plank trails of the prime path, along with a couple grunts of frustration. Hanging by his legs from one of the building structures was a struggling blonde teenager dressed in dark blue uniform trying to position one of the many framed posters he had brought along with him. His tongue was poking out the corner of lips in concentration as he hovered his hammer over one of the pointy nails he held in his spare hand. His eyes were narrowed down slightly as if it were going to help him focus, his legs tightening ever so slightly just in case they decided to slip off the beam they clung to. He raised the tool ever so slightly, preparing to lower it on the nail when-

"WAIT!"

A squeakier voice called from below him, causing him to let out an exaggerated groan and lower the hammer completely to hang above his head. Down on the ground beneath him was a short male brunette dressed in a similar suit to the blonde - his best friend, to be specific. A hand was propped on his chin, rubbing it seemingly in thought as he gazed at the framed picture in front of him. Tommy twisted his head ever so slightly so he could question the boy's antics.

"What is it now, Tubbo?" He huffed out a frustrated sigh, glaring down at the boy. The duo had already been working on advertising these stupid posters for the last couple of hours, and quite frankly they were exhausted. Unfortunately for them, they didn't really get a choice. Wilbur's orders. On the posters, featured their one and only 'soon-to-be president' Wilbur Soot, in all his glory along with a few motivational words and all that crap - Tommy didn't really care for them all that much. Tubbo tilted his head slightly, getting a different angle of the picture.

"It needs to be tilted to the left a bit..." he responded, his fingers acting as a separate frame for the picture in an 'L' shape as he moved them about side to side. Tommy rolled his eyes, but complied nevertheless, shifting his weight slightly so he could angle the corner better before raising the hammer towards the poster again. Just as he nailed in the poster with one big swing, he felt his knee grip to the beam slip, his body following along with it. He felt the colour in his face disappear and a yelp escape his throat as he lost grip entirely.

Before he knew it, he was laying down on his back, staring up at the cloudless sky, his hammer clattering to his side not long after him. He huffed out another breath, glaring up at the beam he fell from before sending it to his best mate instead, who looked as though he would combust from biting back his laughter. He rubbed his hand on his now sore limbs before sitting himself up and planting his palms into the gravelly dirt beneath him.

"Wow. What a show... I'll pay to watch that again any day" a humorous voice spoke from a fair distance away, a chuckle following not long after.

The two spun around in sync to see where the familiar voice had come from, just to groan and throw their heads back in annoyance. Strutting down the path like he owned the place was no other than their opposition, Quackity - or Alex, as few called him. He wore a blue tracksuit jacket with two white stripes running down either side of his arms as well as plain black sweatpants. Thin tuffs of dark hair poked out from his navy blue beanie, which had the printed words 'LAFD' in bold, white letters along the rim. His face wore a cocky grin and his eyes held a sense of humour or mischief, sometimes even both. He looked young, maybe 19 years old. If it wasn't for his big image and role in the election, you'd think he was a chill guy.

Tommy shot a glare his way before being helped up by Tubbo beside him, taking a brief moment to dust himself off of the dirt that layered his clothes and exposed skin. Once finished, he lay his back against the wall next to him, giving the dark haired teen an annoyed look.
