The next morning, Y/N had woken up to the amazing smell of food. Turns out, a fresh bowl of stew had been left for her on her bedside table, as well as a note next to it. She yawned, rubbing her eyes with a balled up fist and squinted so she could somewhat read the note.

'you'll be collected at 5pm this evening for an important meeting. make sure you are ready.

— :).'

She knew from the short and simple signature at the end that it was from Dream - but she couldn't help but give a slight eye roll at his choice of words. Collected? What was she, some delivery? She scoffed slightly and gently pushed the note away with her finger and used her other hand to lift the bowl from the dusty, metal tray. She picked up the spoon next to it, and began to stir the contents around so she could examine what was actually in the meal. Inside were a few mushrooms, as well as peas and other vegetables, all drowning in the dark pool of broth surrounding it. A mouth-watering smell had made its way to her nose, practically making her drool from just the scent. She quickly pressed a spoonful of the ecstasy to her mouth, only to quickly bring it away again, almost spilling it over her lap.

Her lips stung from the burning sensation the stew had left, and she couldn't help but curse at the pain that arose from that area. She hastily blew on the spoon and attempted to bring it to her lips again, being more cautious about what she did this time. Luckily, the broth was at a cooler temperature, allowing her to savour the flavour and her tastebuds to finally enjoy the meal. She let out a small sigh of contempt before letting yet another spoonful reach her mouth again and repeat the process joyously.

Before she knew it, the bowl was stewless, only small droplets left, which she couldn't help frown to. She didn't realise she was that hungry. Moving the bowl onto the tray again, she swung her legs off the side of the bed, but not without taking a quick glance at her leg. She couldn't help but wonder out how she went from being in agonising pain a few days ago, to almost forgetting that the injury was there in the first place. She brushed her hand over the bandages, tugging at it slightly and watched it all come loose.

Wait....

She blinked a few times, trying to see if her mind was tricking her, but the sight never seem to falter once... the wound was gone...

She ran her hand up and down her leg, feeling for at least some kind of rough area of skin that shouldn't naturally be there. The only thing that remained from the vanishing wound was a pale thin line that ran up from her ankle to the halfway up below her knee, right where the injury should've been. A scar? Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion, staring at her leg speechless. How on earth had it healed that quickly?

"Looks like you're in better shape..." an all-too recognisable voice came from the far side of the room, causing Y/N's head to freeze and her breathing to stop. Standing in the entrance of  the doorway, was a familiar head of dark curls, and dark sunglasses. He wore a dark t-shirt and jeans, his arms crossed over one another as his shoulder rested against the side of the doorframe. The H/C girl scowled and looked away just as quick as she looked up, not without noticing the tight bandage wrapped around his upper arm and the few scratches and bruises decorating his face.

"Can't say the same for you." She spits, pulling down the fabric of her leggings down to cover her leg once again. She hoped throughout her time here, she wouldn't have to see Eret's face again, but she knew the odds of that happening were pretty unlikely. He couldn't help but cringe slightly at her venomous tone and avert his gaze uncomfortably to a random corner of the room, not looking at anything particular. The two remained silent for a few moments, the awkward atmosphere only getting worse in the room. Y/N was trying her best to not let out a snappy remark, whereas Eret was trying his best not to stutter out the wrong words.
