The next morning, Y/N woke up to the unusually loud sound of digging just outside her room. Blinking a couple times, she let out a light groan as she rolled over onto her side so she could face the opposite side of the room and peak out the doorway. She squinted slightly in hopes of improving her vision, but all she could make out was the harsh light of the lantern and a shadow looming from it. She could already tell who it was from his tall, lean figure.

Letting out a tired sigh, she lifted herself out of her hammock, taking a second before lifting to her height and standing up. Her feet found themselves moving towards the bright light, her hands still rubbing her sore, tired eyes. It was like, what.... 3 in the morning? Why was he up so early?

Turning the final corner into the room, she came across the man she expected to see, still endlessly digging holes in the ground and carrying a heavy bag of potatoes by his hip.

"Techno, why are you up so early? I doubt the sun's even out yet..."

Of course, she was pretty familiar with his unusual sleep schedule, after living with him for an entire year and several years before that, but she figured even he must have been tired after the journey it took for them to get here. He slowly turned to face her, a guilty expression on his face as he awkwardly chuckled at her wording. 'Up so early' yeeaaahhhh....

"I... haven't slept yet?" He stated, almost as if it were a question himself, causing her to raise her brows in disbelief. He... what...? After a few more moments of silence, he quietly returned to his task of hacking at the dirt beneath his feet, his brows furrowed in concentration. That's when she took in their current surroundings. There were impossibly even more seeded holes scattered around the room's wide landscape, all buried and stored into the soil, whilst an even bigger collection sat in the far corner of the room, all kept in knitted sacks to store them away safely. The twin blinked a couple times to process his words carefully, before her shooting him a concerned and questioning glance with narrowed eyes.

"You've.. been farming... all night?" She asked slowly, watching him closely for his reaction which only got more guilty with every pause she took. He awkwardly coughed, rubbing the back of his neck as his eyes darted to look anywhere but her. He refused an answer. In all honesty, it was pretty funny. Like a toddler getting in trouble for something they shouldn't have done.

Sighing, she shook her head disapprovingly.

"Well?" He shot her a puzzled stare whilst she returned an expectant one, "do you need any help then, or not?" She stated as if it were obvious and shuffled over to the a table over by the other side of the room and picked up a shiny, iron hoe. He blinked a couple times, registering her words carefully, and searched her face for some trace of humour. Her expression remained blank. He huffed a low laugh.

"You're messin' with me." He commented with a distrustful stare, causing her to smirk and laugh. It didn't surprise her that he didn't believe a word she said, considering the amount of times she rejected his offers like these. In all honesty, she wasn't sure herself why she offered the assistance. It meant she'd have to stay up even longer.

But she knew he wouldn't put a stop to his hard work even if she had told him to, so why not help out instead? Get the job done quicker instead.

"I'm not, I'm not!" She paused to take a glance at his deadpanned expression before speaking up again, "C'mon, I'm actually offering to help you for once, and you're not buying it?" Her smile grew as she noticed a smirk of his own begin to tug at his lips.

"That's exactly why I'm not buyin' it. You never offer to give me a hand with this stuff, there's literally no valid reason to why you'd want to now." He rolled his eyes, jamming his own tool into the ground so he could rest his forearms against it and give her a blank look. "I know you too well."
