Today was the day. The day of the escape. She had spent the entire night planning for today's events knowing that if anything were to go wrong, she wouldn't want it to be something silly like forgetting her route of escape. It was now early morning, and Tubbo was bound to start his distraction soon. Tommy had come to her window again, explaining briefly what was going to happen and when she needed to act, and to just catch up in general.
According to him, Tubbo would alert Tommy with the coded word 'big man', to which she couldn't help but chuckle at. As soon as he'd get the message, it would be his cue to break through the bars on her window and to escape that way, safe and unharmed. If things were to go the wrong way, they always had their supply of weapons that Y/N got a hold of not too long ago and some TNT Tommy was supplied with too. Now she just had to wait until he arrived.
She managed to patch up her wounds as well from yesterday's events, which raised a lot of panic and questions when Tommy saw her. He immediately jumped to conclusions, assuming that they were torturing her, which honestly wasn't completely wrong - this place was a living hell. Nevertheless, she brushed it off, saying she'd explain it all later when they'd escape, which he hesitantly agreed to, his worry for her safety at its peak. Once he had made his escape off into the depths of the woods, a quiet knock sounded at their door, causing her to dart around.
"Mornin'.." the soft voice called as he stretched his arms out above his head, lightly pushing the door open with his knee. The green hoodie had returned once again after being discarded the previous night and it hung loosely on his tall frame. His blonde, messy hair lay disoriented upon his masked forehead, but it wasn't a bad look. If anything it was a good one. The sunlight that barely peaked through the room's window reflected onto the blank mask, it being the only thing that really lit up the room at all.
"What do you want, Dream." she cut straight to the point instead of dancing around random topics which she figured he would do. Her tone sharp and somewhat cold. A tone only he was familiar with. He remained quiet for a few seconds, causing Y/N to grow even more angry and impatient by the second. She didn't have much time until Tommy arrived as it was, and this certainly wasn't easing her mind in the slightest.
"You disappeared pretty early last night" he states, quietly shutting door behind him to block out the cold air that loomed in the corridors. The girl remained silent, waiting for him to continue as he paused. "I wanted to check if you were okay, you looked a bit rough after the fight" he mumbled, only just loud enough for her to hear.
And who's fault was that?
She crossed her arms as she turned her head away so she no longer held eye contact.
"I'm fine. Why would you care anyway? The whole fight was your idea." she spat, leaning her back against her bed frame and looking out of her window. He rolled his eyes slightly, his hands finding his pockets as he neglected a response. The two remained in a strangely comfortable silence, neither of them sure of what to say as they stared out the window. The sun was only just starting to rise, and it was honestly a nice view through the gaps in the tree shelters. The sky was a pinky-orange colour, only a few clouds were actually visible in the sky. Hopefully soon, she'd be able to see the full sight with her friends back home. Her family...
She averted her gaze at the sound of creaking beside her, seeing that Dream had now taken a seat on a wooden chair next to the bed. His eyes remained on the sunrise outside whilst his chin rested on top of his forearms on the chair's backrest. He, too, seemed as though he found peace in the warm light of the glowing sun as his posture relaxed and he leant further into the chair. It was strangely... nice.. Realising she was now staring, she quickly glanced to the window again to hide her flustered face from the boy who could be looking. Fortunately for her, he hadn't noticed, but did turn to look at her when he saw her turn her head.
