"I- uh.. s-sister-in-law??"

The H/C haired girl stammered awkwardly, her face heating up in embarrassment at the ludicrous comment. Drista suddenly burst out laughing, curling over as she hugged her stomach with both arms. Y/N frowned in confusion, crossing her arms over her chest as she watched the blonde girl fall into a state hysteria. She noticed how similar her laugh was to her brother's, the same wheezy, pitchy sound that seemed as thought it struggled to leave her lungs. Y/N couldn't help but grin slightly at that.

"You- you should've seen your faaaacce!" She dragged out the 'a' in yet another wheeze, having to use Tommy as a way to balance herself from tumbling over, who was also on the verge of tears. Of course, he hadn't the slightest clue on why she was laughing so hysterically, but it was near impossible not to fall under the influence of such an odd laugh.

After a few more moments, the girl managed to calm herself down, heaving out heavy, exasperated breaths whilst letting out much quieter giggles in the process. She raised a finger up to the corner of her eye, wiping away a stray tear and straightened herself up.

"Oh, that was too good.."

Y/N cleared her throat awkwardly, shifting her weight onto the heels of her feet before directing her eye contact towards the young blonde, brows furrowing further on her forehead.

"You know who I am?" She asked, pursing her lips tightly as her eyes squinted into a suspicious stare. Obviously, she imagined Dream must of mentioned her name to her before if she was able to recognise her in- uh... such a way... but her mind was far more occupied on how she knew her and what Dream might've said to his sister for her to gain the title 'sister-in-law'.

Drista only smirked again, a lopsided one - another similarity to her older brother.

"Of course I do, my brother couldn't shut up about you for at least a month or two around the time you left. It was quite annoying, actually." She shrugged slightly, shoving her hands into the pockets of her overalls. Y/N raised her brows curiously at that, her posture straightening up as her interest grew more by the second. What she also didn't expect was Tommy to nod in agreement, mirroring her actions by pocketing his fists.

"It's true - the green bitch wouldn't leave us alone for weeks on end, either. A very 'simp' move if you ask me. No me gusta." He shook his head disapprovingly, now crossing his arms over his puffed out chest, an unimpressed expression written on his face. This only added further to Y/N's puzzlement, a frown growing on her already bewildered face.

So... he's been pestering both his own sister, who she hadn't even met until now, AND L'manburg on her whereabouts during the time she had been gone? 'Talk about obsessive...' she thought to herself, mentally rolling her eyes at the thought of him. Still, she couldn't help but feel partially guilty being the main culprit of the pestering. She awkwardly rubbed the back of her neck, pursing her lips tightly.

"Yeah, uh... sorry about that.. s'kinda my fault." she looked down shamefully, a nervous chuckle escaping her lips. Drista only batted her hand at the air carelessly before crossing her arms over one another again.

"Nah, it's fine - I learned to ignore what he was saying half the time, anyway. You seem alright, anyway." She smiled once again, rolling back on the balls of her feet whilst her eyes hovered up to the sky, letting the other female sigh a quiet breath of relief to the news. Y/N scanned the girl's appearance now that she could actually see her face - the blonde hair being a start.

Drista's hair was a sandy, light colour, a shade or two brighter than her brother's, but the same colour, nevertheless. Small wavy strands framed the front of her face, much like the rest of her hair, which was a neat yet wavy mess. Her eyes were a vibrant forest green, bright and prominent, small specks of a honey-like colour surrounding her pupils, though they were mostly sheltered by her long, dark eyelashes. A range of freckles lay scattered across her tan cheeks, covering the large majority of both her face and neck.
