#42 Ubbe: a chained life

Sooo it's not the best story, im running out of ideas but i Hope you guys like it anyway.
Im thinking of publising a book story that i came up with, but i dont know if i should do it or not. I have a bunch of ideas for books. Would you read it?

UBBE'S POV

"Land!" Hvitserk screams and points in the direction of a little island on the horizon. I walk to the front of the boat.
"There it is my brother" i say and put my hands on his shoulders. "Are you ready for your first raid?" I ask him. Hvitserk looks me in the eye. "I was born ready" he says and smiles.
We arrive and we take our first steps on this new land.
"We are not alone" Hvitserk whispers.
I look around and see a village. It's early in the morning so the people must be in bed.
"No that's not it... they know we are coming" Björn says.
Hvitserk looks confused. "How do they-" he says but can't finish his sentences because he is silenced by Björn.
"Look out for any ambush or other trap" i say. "Take as many as you can find and carry" i say.
"But let's stay together... I don't trust it one bit" Björn says. I nod in agreement.
"Let's go" i say and we walk over to the village.
"Remember... take as much as you can, leave an inpression. We want them to know that the sons of Ragnar were here" i say. Everybody nods and i give a sign that we can start this raid.
And there we go.
We run into the village and make as much noice as we can. To scare of the villagers.
We plunder all the buildings and take everything we see as something with value.
I see the fear in the eyes of the villagers. Some try to fight back, but they don't know me yet.
I tighten my grip around my sword and start to slash everything that is in my way. I know no mercy and i won't give it.
I take everything i can carry and bring it back to the boat.
I meet my brothers there.
"Did you get anything?" I ask. Björn nods. "Yess, but we haven't looked in the castle yet. How about you?" He ask.
"This is everything i could carry" i say and drop it in the boat. My brothers look at me.
"That looks like a lot... i bet there is more of that in the castle" Ivar says with a smile.
"I think you might be right Ivar" Hvitserk says.
"Ready to go find that out?" I say and look at the direction of the castle. Mu brothers start to smile and grab their weapons.
"Always ready!" Björn says and takes the lead.
We walk over to the castle, expecting to march in and take whatever we can lay our hands on.
But that's not what happend...
The gates open surprisingly well, one push and it is open.
We storm in, nothing can get in out way now but we don't see anybody.
We stop running and stand still in a group. "Well don't just stand here, grab as much as you can carry" Björn says.
The group chants in agreement and starts raiding.
We plunder rooms, basements and all the other rooms we can find with value.
When we get back to the gate, we are waited by an army of people. We stop walking and look at the group.
"I knew something didn't feel right" i say. "Little too late dude" Hvitserk says.
"Would you look at that" the leader says.
"It's the famous sons of Ragnar" he says and walks towards us. "Bet you didn't expect this".
"Take them in" he says and before we can put up a fight, they have taken us and put us in a cell.
"So what do we do now?" Hvitserk ask. Ivar chuckles "we're vikings we'll come up with a plan".
We hear a knock on the door.
A maid walks in with a plate of food. Her hands are chained. She walks over to me and looks up. She has the most beautiful eyes i've ever seen.
"Hi!" I say. "I'm Ubbe". She looks at me and bites her lip nervously. "Hi Ubbe, i'm Y/N" she says.
"I have food for you guys" she says and hands me the plate. "It's not much, but this is all i could take for you guys" she says and walks away before we could even thank her.

YOUR POV
"Y/N!!" King Viggo calls me. He grabs my chains and pulls on them. I fall on the ground and walk over to them. "You called me?" I ask.
"Go fetch me some food" he says. I sigh "what was that girl?" He says, irritated. "Nothing...nothing. I just can't reach the food being tied up to chains and all" i say. "Deal with it, i'm only letting you lose when you go serve the intruders" he says and laughs.
I walk over to the table, barely reaching the food, but i manage to make a plate. I hand the plate over to king Viggo. Then i take my place in the corner. "Don't worry girl. You can have some too" he says and throws a few grapes in my direction.
King Viggo finishes his plate. "Go clean this up and then bring those intruders to me" he says and gestures me to clean it up. I pick up his plate and bring it back to the table. " i can't go to the boys with my chains on" i say and point to my leg. King Viggo rolls his eyes "fine, but i'll need to handcuff you again if you go to the guys. I dont want you to escapd". he says and laughs. I nod "yes... yes i know" i say. King Viggo walks over to me and unchains my leg and handcuffs me.
I walk over to the guys and knock on the door. "The king wishes to see you" i say and then walk back and king Viggo chains me again and i sit in the corner waiting for the situation to unfold in front of me.

UBBE'S POV
The girls knocks on our door and says that king Viggo wants to speak with us. We walk outside our cell and some guards take us to king Viggo. When we arrive in the room I don't see the girl anywhere. We stand in front of King Viggo and he looks at us.
"So you come here on my land, plunder my land, kill my people and you think you can come away with this?" King Viggo starts to yell.
We stay silence. "What you don't speak my language?" He ask. I don't understand what he is saying. King Viggo looks at the corner, it's dark i can't see why he is looking at the corner. "Y/N do you understand them? Yes, okay than you can translate". He says. He yanks on some chains i see the girl tripping over the chains, almost falling. I look at her, she looks scared, but even when she is scared she is beautiful. "Translate please" he says. She nods. She repeat what he said, but this time in our language. "Because we are vikings" Ivar says and chuckles. Y/N translates it voor King Viggo. King Viggo starts to laugh "Vikings... what gives them the right to plunder us" he says. "Take them back to their cell. They will be here for awhile and they will be punished" he says. "And its the last thing they will do in their live" he says. He chuckles "vikings ugh...". And walks away. The guards bring us back to our cell.
Night starts to fall. We did nog get any food. "They can't treat us like this" Hvitserk says. "Actually they can" Ivar says. "In their eyes we are intruders". He says.
Then we hear a knock on our door. The door opens and it's the girl walking in. "Hi it's me Y/N". She says. "I can get you out of here" she says. " why do you want to help us?" I ask. " king Viggo wants to kill you guys and i don't like king Viggo" she says "but we need to be quick" she says and gestures us to come. We step out of our cell and follow her. "We need to be quiet, the guards always fall asleep during duty, but they can be easily woken up by us. We quietly tip toe passing the guards. Thank the gods they dont wake up by us. After what seems forever we reach the door without causing any trouble. Y/N opens the door and let us true. We all look at her. "From here you need to go pass the market amd then you arrive at the beach where your boat is" she says.
"Are you not coming with us?" I ask. She shakes her head. "I can't" she says. "Ubbe we need to go" Björn says.
"You guys go without me, i will catch up" i say and gestures them to leave.
They shrug their shoulders. "Be quick okay" Hvitserk says. And they leave.
I hold Y/N her hand and she looks me in my eyes. "Why aren't you going with your brothers?" She ask. "I'm not leaving without you" i say. She looks up, surprised. "I can't leave" she says. "King Viggo is going to kill me" she says. "Besides my hands are chained" she says and shows me her hands. I grab my axe and cut through her chains. "See? Now you are free" i say. Y/N looks around, very nervous.
"Please Y/N you can start a new life, together with me" i say and stroke her hair out of her face. She looks at me and smile. "Okay Ubbe, i will go with you" she says and takes my hand. "Let's go then i say and kiss her on her lips. " to a new life". We run to the boat and sail off to Kattegat where we can start our life together.
