Chapter 13 - Nightmares

It began to rain. It wasn’t supposed to be since the clouds are white. I removed my glasses and braids. I have an umbrella but… I don’t know. I don’t want to use it. Maybe the weather is working with my feelings. Raindrops flows down to my skin and just walked without any particular direction. I kept thinking what happened earlier. The thoughts, the sounds, the talks, everything that disturbs me. I happened to pass an old warehouse not far from my house. The place was for sale, but it seems nobody wants to buy it because of its gloomy aura. I stared at the warehouse for a few minutes. Suddenly, there were voices in my head.

Flashback

“Let me go!” A little girl shouts.

“Don’t include her! I’m the one you want!” A little boy’s voice struggling and trying to reach the girl.

Flashback end

“Ugh!” My head was dizzy. ‘What just happened?’ I thought. ‘Maybe I should go home now.’ I went straight my house and change my clothes. I didn’t even bother to take a shower and went straight to bed. I know it’s not a good habit but I really wanted to rest.

Flashback

Blood. All I see is blood. I see my parents bathed with blood. Looking at my hands is also full of blood. Then the scene change. It was the past 7 years ago…

“No… No!!” I was crying desperately because again, I failed to protect the person who’s important to me. “Ki-kun…” I called an ambulance and went to the emergency room in the hospital. I was left outside the room and after few minutes, the doctor went out and told me to call Ki-kun’s parents. I called them, and went to my own house without changing my bloody clothes and Uncle saw me shocked. Days passed and Ki-kun’s father called me to go to their mansion’s study room.

Everything was quiet with just the two of us. He was sitting on his chair, his back facing me.

“Sir,” I gulped.

He stood up, walked close to me, and slap sound echoed in the room.

“You killed my son! I thought I can trust you! Don’t… don’t ever go to this mansion ever again.” He clasped both of his hands and and turn away from me. “Don’t ever show your face to me. Ever! Get out! Get out, NOW!”

I did what he said and went straight to the house. I killed him. I KILLED HIM. That’s a fact. I locked myself in my room for days. I just learned from my Uncle that Ki-kun’s father went back to US with the body of his son. And after going out from my room, I became the person who doesn’t have any knowledge with emotions except revenge for the person who killed my parents.

Flashback End

I woke up the next day and found myself too dizzy to get up. ‘I won’t go to school today and maybe rest for the whole day,’ I thought. I just closed my eyes to sleep.
