Chapter 9 - It ends...

Hibiki’s POV

I got back to the classroom to get my notebook when I saw Yuki’s bag on her chair. I looked at the window if she was still around and saw her together with the two guys. Are they friends? Feels like they’re dragging her somewhere.’ I took her bag and immediately run as fast as I can. Before I walked down to the stairs, I looked around to see if no one was around. After assuring it, I jumped down from 3rd floor to 2nd floor to minimize the time. I already got to the 1st floor and because my movement was too fast, I bumped someone on the way.

Thud was the noise that echoed in the hallway. I fell to the floor and it actually hurts. The person who I bumped fell too and as I looked at her, I recognized her. It was Yuki. She was looking for her glasses on the floor and it was just under my right hand. I actually made a mistake by pushing it more to the floor, making both of us hear the creak sound of the glasses. Yuki froze and I became nervous. ‘Shoot. I broke it. Lucky me.’ I don’t know her reaction as of yet because her face was staring on the floor. Now I became extremely nervous.

“Here’s your bag. You left it in the room. I’m sorry if I broke your glasses. I’ll buy you another one.” My tone was being hesitant.

No response. She just took her bag without looking at me which I found it quite intriguing. ‘She’s avoiding my gaze. I can’t see her reaction whether or not she is angry.’ I thought.

She immediately stood up and walked out of the building.

‘I don’t want her to see like this. I gotta follow her and say sorry.’ I ran out of the school building to follow her.

After trying to catch up with her, I stopped her by grabbing her arm and pulled her in order to face me. My eyes went wide when I took notice of her eyes. They were blue.

Yuki’s POV

‘Why screw up now? I should’ve brought the extra glasses. I never thought that it would break with a simple reason.’

The Hibiki who was a jolly person who I’m with today was not the same person standing in front of me. It made my body shiver for the first time.

“Care to tell any explanations?” He said. I felt his angriness between the lines.

I didn’t react. His gray eyes became darker that I believe he’s controlling himself. Then he sighed.

“I should be saying sorry right now since I broke your glasses. But I really hated it how you kept a secret from me. After all the troubles…”

“I told you for the first time, you shouldn’t mind someone’s business.”

“Well… yeah. And I’m sorry if I’m bothering you. It won’t happen again. I don’t want a friend who’s keeping secrets from me.” He said then left me.

I should be happy right now but something is making me feel sad, which I had forgotten that it still existed in me. I removed my braids and went home.

Going to my own house, I went straight to my room and laid my back to the bed.

‘Too much happened. This is just the first day of punishment and my identity is already revealed.’ I put my right arm to cover my eyes.

Someone’s POV

“Shall we start?” a guy said while sitting in front of the chessboard.

“It’s already starting. We’ll just make everything entertaining.” I moved the 2nd pawn to the right forward. I was grining devilishly.
