"It's going to be fine. You'll do great." Yoongi encouraged with a smile.
Jimin nodded unsure and dug his fingernails deeper in the center of his palm. Yoongi sighed quietly as he glanced at him.
He had kept staring out the window and they had barely spoken any. Yoongi wished he could turn the car around and drive back home.
Selfishness was all he ever learned and all he ever did. This time he couldn't be selfish. Jimin didn't deserve that. He deserved the closure to see Hoseok once again.
Of course he was petrified. What if when seeing each other made them both want to be together? What if the feelings never died and there was still romantic love buried under all the pain?
He apprehensively tapped his fingers on the steering wheel looking ahead. The GPS said they were fifteen minutes away.
The weather was gloomy and rainy. It felt like the sky was falling and maybe it was. Maybe the rain sympathized with Yoongi's jumbled heart. Maybe this was telling him something he was too afraid to think of.
Jimin finally looked at Yoongi who seemed to be ten times paler than the usual. He could tell Yoongi was also scared.
Had he slept throughout the night? Jimin did not for sure. All he did was turn on the bed back and forth for endless minutes until the sun shined through his window.
His eyes felt heavy and sensitive. The headache in the back of his head was getting worse and worse by the second.
"Is everything okay?" Jimin asked softly. If Yoongi was worried about it then he should definitely feel that way too.
"I'm a bit nervous," he admitted. GPS said four minutes until they got to their destination. Where had the time gone? Just minutes ago it felt like the time was going by so slow and now all of the sudden it rushed.
"I'm nervous too."
"Mmm. It's understandable. I hope everything turns out good."
The next few minutes were suffocating to say the least. Their chests felt so heavy it was hard to even get a breath out.
Jimin had racing thoughts in his mind. He had tried to rehearse what he would tell Hoseok once he saw him. In the end his mind went blank when Yoongi parked the car on the parallel parking spot outside Hoseok's house.
"Are you ready?" Yoongi asked turning off the engine. He should probably be asking himself that questions as well.
"Can you come with me?" He whispered terrified.
Yoongi gave him a small smile and held his hand kissing it, "I'm sorry. I wish I could. I just don't think it will be right for me to be there. This needs to be done with you two alone. I'll be right here in the car waiting for you. For however long it takes, okay? No rush. If you need me you just say it and I'll be at the doorstep."
Jimin swallowed the lump that had build up in his throat. He observed the house. It was small and very cute. Built with bricks and gorgeous bushes surrounding it. This was definitely his home. This screamed Jung Hoseok.
Was he with someone? Would his partner get mad at his lover? Was he even home? Would he slam the door on his face? Punch him? Kick him out??
"I don't think he's home. We should probably—"
"Well I see a car parked right there," Yoongi mumbled biting the inside of his cheek.
Jimin closed his eyes for a brief second as he reached for the door handle. This threw Yoongi into an anxious mess.
"We could leave you know," he blurted out. It was his insecurity and fear. When Jimin looked him in the eye he regretted saying that. There it was. His selfishness peeking through.
"I mean if you want to of course. We could just leave, but I honestly think you should do this. I'm scared I'm not going to lie. I just don't think you will ever truly be happy until you settle your past. I mean, it took me years to get over Nayeon. I wish I could've told her so many things and if I had the chance today I would tell her in a heartbeat. I don't want you to regret not speaking to him."
Jimin shakily sighed, "Yes...thank you. For everything. If I didn't have you here I wouldn't be able to do this." He said wrapping his arms around him.
Yoongi held him tightly while planting kisses on his head. "We're in this together. Always." He said quietly.
"Okay. I should probably get going there. I'll let you know if I need you."
"Yes. You should. I will be here."
Jimin opened the door, but before going out he kissed Yoongi on the lips. He smiled as he turned around.
His smile slowly faded when he watched him approach the house. The sweat that had build underneath his arms was unbelievable. Yoongi had forgotten how it felt to be sick.
At the moment he fled human. Vulnerable, sick, and insecure. His stomach was a nauseous mess and even his hands were shaking.
Jimin kept doing breathing exercises as he got to the door. His heart felt like it could explode any second. He wanted to turn around and look at Yoongi again. If he did he knew he'd run back to the car and never get the courage to knock.
So, with every guilty sick emotion he felt he knocked. Softly, very softly. Not loud enough for anyone to hear. Or so he thought.
As the footsteps came closer Jimin wanted to faint. His knees were trembling and his breathing was unsteady now.
The door opened and there he was. Hoseok. He looked the same only much taller. His hair was still a perfect brown and his jawline had gotten sharper.
He looked sad and confused at the same time. It was hard to tell. Jimin didn't even want to imagine the look he had on his own face.
"H—hi." Jimin whispered with a dry mouth.
Yoongi was watching from the car. Hoseok was beautiful and radiant. His pale bland skin was nothing compared to his golden tint.
Taller, prettier, and a better person.
Yoongi was immortal and had supernatural powers, but next to Hoseok he felt pretty worthless.
