(To clear things up, Tom likes Lani but they are no longer related after parents divorce, they never had the same parents) (This ain't no sweet home Alabama lolz)
All of the characters are in year 5, and are all 16/17, except for Tom who dropped out of school cus he was too smart (he's 18). The time period is set in modern day, and Voldemort died when he killed Harry's parents so no war or anything. (Tom is separate from Voldemort, let's just say Voldemort was Toms great uncle or something.)
