The Bully Affect

The ball, and a promise

>Jonathan's POV<

 
        All of the girls look amazing in their dresses and we all compliment them on it during the limo ride. We get to the house, and it looks like it was pulled right from an old English movie. When we get up to the house we are shown inside and led to the amazing ballroom. There are about 2 dozen tables set at the back with a Champaign fountain, punch bowl, and three tables covered in different types of food.
        There are a few people standing around sipping their drinks and laughing while others dance to the glorious music. Jason leads us to the tables for the girls to set their purses down. They all sit and I kiss Ema's cheek, standing at her side. "Do you want something to drink or eat?" I whisper in her ear.
        "Some punch if you wouldn't mind." She says smiling up at me. She looks so beautiful tonight that I cant help but wonder what miracle let me be with her.
        I walk away to get the punch and when I come back a man that looks no older then 20 and has dark and a lanky body is standing with them. He is holding a glass of champagne and shaking Mason's hand. When I get to them I hand Ema her drink after he kisses her hand. He did the same to Kim, Lily, and Katie but it still makes me jealous.
         He then reaches out to shake my hand. "Hi, I'm Drew, you must be Jonathan. Hope you don't mind but I would like to dance with all my female guest so I might borrow your girlfriend later." He smiles then takes a sip of his drink. "Mason told me about your project, I like the idea of it. Maybe you guys can come with me sometime when I go to talk to schools about bullying and all that stuff."
        "That would be so cool." Katie says smiling flirtatiously.
        "You want to dance?" He asks her, holding out his hand. She nods and walks off with him after he sets his drink down.
        "How old is he?" Chris asks with an edge to his voice.
        "Just turned 18 a month ago, right Jason? Don't worry though, its just a dance." Mason says waving it off.
        "They both looked more then happy... I think he thinks it more then just one dance, and Katie seams happy to oblige." Lily says scrunching her nose.
        "He's a good kid, if they like each other then they like each other, so what." Jason says as we all watch him spin her around.
        "Come on Ema, lets go dance." I say pulling her to her feet.

        Ema and i danced for an hour straight before going outside to catch or breath and get some freash air. His garden is amazing and i cant help but wonder if most of his money was passed down from his father or a decesed relative.
        I pull Ema down on a bench and pull the box out of a pocket inside my jacket. "Ema, I know I cant promise you much right now but i do want to promise you one thing. I promise you i will always be here for you when ever you need me and i promise that one day if you still love me as i will forever love you, i will marry you."
        I slip the ring on her finger and kiss her cheek. She wraps her arms around my neck and tries to fight back tears. "I love you Jonathan and i always will..."
