~Kyle's P.O.V.~
After Katie was done, I walked up. "Hello everyone. Obviously I'm part of the obese part of the project. While I was here, I got called names like fat ass, large load, etc. I've gotten pushed around. One day, I got pulled out back, had food thrown at me, and beat to a pulp. I was knocked out till school was way over. I had to walk home by that point." "Its not like it would hurt you to get exercise!" I heard Evan yell. I just ignored it. "Actually, I do exercise. I just had to take a break for the project. But the bullying has stressed me so much. Not just from here, but also from my actual school. The stress caused me to do stuff like this." I role my sleeve up to reveal selfharm scars. No one new about them though, till now. "I have cut myself, burned myself, starved myself, even made myself throw up because of all of the bullying about my weight. You may see a fat kid. But you should never judge a book by its cover. Because most books that are fatter then the rest, are the best books. You just aren't willing to read it though. And thats how you treat me. You see me and see I'm fat and ugly, so you don't give me a chance. You don't see who I am. You just ignore me, or use me as a moving target. For a sport, like dodgeball, you would rather pick the scrawny kid over a bigger kid like me. But maybe the bigger kid is a better player then the scrawny kid. Did you ever think of that? No. Because you don't think. You let your eyes think for you. Maybe you should try getting to know people, instead of people getting to know your fist. Just think about how many people you bully. Think about how many bullies just one of them has. Now imagine all the bullies, of all the people you bully, bullying you. You probably, wouldn't like that, would you? Now you know how they feel. Just remember that we are all people. We are all the same. Each of us deserv to be treated the same. Not just picked by our eyes, but with our mind." And with that, I walked away.
(A/N: I just wanted to say something about the dodgeball thing quick. In dodgeball, I actually would get out before my one best friend who is on the obese side(its just more to love!) would. Just because someone is bigger, doesn't mean they can't play better. Honsestly, at my school the bigger kids are the better dodgball players. (well, with the exception of athletes who have the cordnations for it.) You just have to give people a chance. Think about it, who would you rather choose: A scrawny kid who has little energy/enthusiasim, or a heavier kid who is full of life and excitment. Personally, I'm going to choose both of them before anyone else. You know why? Becuase they are the ones that deserve to be picked first before the obvious people. WHy should teams fight over the obvious looking players, when there are other options to explore, options that could be way better. Just remeber that when you look at someone next time, or see someone jusging another person.)
