The Bully Affect

Jason's speech for the schools

>Jason's POV<

          All the kids were dressed and in the car driving over to Ema, Chris, and Kyle's school. You could tell they were really nervous by the way the girls kept tugging at their dresses and the guys would ask them random questions, make a comment, fidget, or do random things. We show up 15 minutes after everyone should be in class and meet the principal, who I had previously spoken to, in his office. I had called all the school at the start of the week to ask to have a few of the classes and some students. He leads us behind stage in the auditorium where we can already hear some classes coming in.

        "You guys wait back here then I will give a short introduction about the idea of your project. Then you guys can come out when I introduce you. Good luck." I wait for the principal to introduce me before going out. "Thank you Mr. Martin. Hello, I am Jason Smith. I teach English and Sociology at Skyline High School. Six of my students decided to do their project on Bullying and the affect it has on  new students with different body types. Fit and popular, nerdy, and obese. Here are my students, three of which went to this school. Ema and Jonathan, the nerdy ones. Katie and Chris, the fit popular athletic kids. Kim and Kyle, the obese ones."
        They all walk out onto the stage with their arms linked. Someone in the crowd yells, "More like slut one, two, and three!" I look around but cant find who said it. I do see all the guys tense though and Drew, who is sitting in the crowd crack his knuckles.
        "Now please be quiet and respectful as they share what people from this school and the other schoold have done to them in the month and a half that this project was in session. Thank you." I bow slightly then pull my tux sleeves down a bit further as I step back and gesture for one of them to step forward and start off.
