I am so happy that we are back to our normal school. We all get to actually sit together instead of acting like we don't know each other. Today we are all siting together for lunch, Jonathan by Ema, Kyle by Nikki (she changed schools t get away from her old boyfriend), Chris next to me, and Katie and Mason next to each other. Mason also decided to switch schools so that she could still hang out with Jonathan instead of siting by herself at lunch and to get a new start after everything that she has been threw.
Today is Thursday and all week we have been having different kids come up to us at different times to ask for help with self-harm, bullying or just to sit with us for a little while. It is such a good feeling to know that we are helping people even if the project is no longer. Just to walk through the halls there is a happier feel in the air and you don't see people cowering into the lockers just to try to get to their classes unnoticed. On Tuesday when I came in before school I found a letter and flower taped to the front of my locker. The flower was a really pretty purple rose and inside the letter was a note that said: Thank you for standing up for what is right in this world. Because of what you and the others have done I am no longer afraid to walk this world. Don't worry about what others say about you because you are perfect the way you are. THANK YOU. I found another flower the next morning and this morning. We have all found flowers on our lockers since Tuesday, all in different colors. The rose that Ema gets is white and there was a line in the letter she got that said: You are the purest soul I have ever seen... Now we are all really curious as to who is putting the flowers there.
Chris gives me a quick kiss on the cheek then looks at everyone else. "So how curious are you guys about the flowers on our lockers?" Everyone looks at him, clearly interested. "I say that we come in early tomorrow and try to see who is putting them there. Then we give them a big bouquet of flowers or a box of chocolates or a teddy bear as a thank you." Everyone agrees the leaves to their classes when the bell rings.
