~Kyle's P.O.V.~

        

        I walked into the school the next day. I saw Ema putting her stuff in her locker, staring into space, a smile on her face. I waved and kept walking. Next I saw Jonathan, who looked to be concentrating on a thought, like he was trying to make a decision. I tried waving again, but he didn't notice so I kept walking. Next I saw Katie talking to the cheerleading squad. I didn't wave because that would be embarrassing. But she waved to me though, so I decided to wave back with a smile. I past Chris, who was putting stuff in his locker. "Hey man." He said waving at me with a smile. "Hey." I said back, waving with a smile. Finally I got to my locker. Kimberly's locker is next to mine. "Hey Kim." I said to her, greeting her like I usually do. "Hey, Kyle." She said back with a smile. "So how's your day going?" I asked her. "Just the normal." She replied with a small smile. "What about you?" She asked. "Same old, same old." I told her, with a weak smile. "Thats cool. Well, I gotta get going to class. See ya later." She said with a smile and shutting the locker. I went into first period. Ema was already there with her face down. I sat next to her. "Hey Ema." I said. She just kept looking down. "Ema. Ema! EMA!" I yelled, trying to get her attention. "What." She said looking at me confused. I noticed her busted lip and the makeup trying to cover up a black eye. "What happened to you?" I asked her, studying her face. "I got beat on by some of the football team, thats all." She said casually like she's used to it. "Are you Ok?" I asked her. "Yeah." She replied back. I nod my head. "So what are you thinking about that is making you unable to focus?" I asked. "Stuff." She said with a smile. I have a feeling that "stuff" ment someone. "Uh huh." I said giving a look like "sure. Whatever you say." She giggled and shook her head. The class soon piled in and the teacher started the lecture.
