3rd person POV: After a long group hug Delilah steps back and everybody does the same after another.
They were silent for a moment but you could get Melanie and Niki's sniffles. Melanie and Niki looked at each other slowly turning their head and looked straight into their eyes.
They both started to laugh and then hug each other again. Delilah and Karl were just standing at the side watching two bestfriends who haven't seen each other in 7 years. They were also almost crying but they held it in.
"Well let the Party begin!" Melanie wipes her tears away starting to giggle looking really hyped.
"Wait I'm gonna get the cake! Melanie I made a cake for you! It's a raspberry-chocolate cake! It's not that big but there's a good reason for it." Niki says walking to the kitchen where the cake was at.
"Really? You really didn't had to!" Melanie replies.
Karl turns off the lights again and Melanie looks in the direction to the kitchen and sees candles on a cake. She can't see the cake properly but it still looked good.
"Happy Birthday to you, happy birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Melanie, happy birthday to youuu" everybody starts to sing and Melanie almost starts to tear up again.
"Make a wish!" Karl whispers to Melanie and she nods closing her eyes.

Many people would've wished something else but Melanie just didn't want to lose her friends. Especially her best friends.
Especially Karl...
She blowed out the candles and everybody clapped. Delilah turned on the lights again and Niki had the knife on the table ready. They were all amazed by the delicious looking cake even if it's not big.

"This looks amazing! I can't wait for this to be in my hungry stomach." Delilah says not stopping to stare at the cake and everybody laughs.
--after eating the delicious cake--
"So the reason why I didn't make a bigger cake was because I wanted to ask you if you want to make cupcakes with me. Or something else. It's your decision!" Melanie starts to giggle hearing Niki say this.
She was giggling and then started to laugh for some reason. As everybody laughs, Karl just stared at Melanie and gladly nobody noticed...well that's what he thought.
Delilah noticed and you could see her smirk on her face. She knew how close Melanie and Karl became and she wouldn't be surprised if somebody would fall for the other person.
But she isn't sure if Melanie would be ready to be with someone. She hasn't been in a relationship in years and if she was it was apparently just a prank from the boys.
She also never got the chance to be together with a girl and we do sometimes pretend to be together but it's all just fun.
Karl has been in a relationship before but it was in Highschool. He met this sweet girl in arts class and since that day he met her, he fell in love. She had dark chestnut brown hair with mint green eyes. She had freckles and dimples and it was the most gorgeous girl he has even seen in his life.
They eventually got together and his ex girlfriend, Jane was really sweet, caring and nice. They were happy together until a night, Karl visited Jane without telling her before and as he opened her door to her room...
She was making out with another man on her bed. He still isn't sure who that was but he doesn't care.
He immediately broke up with her and Jane did cry for doing that mistake and she does feel guilty even till this day. She still had no idea why she did that but Karl broke all the contact with her. He still had to see her in Highschool but he always ignored her.
He is scared that the same thing will happen with him and Melanie but he shouldn't have too high hopes..no way Melanie would like him, right? I mean she has said multiple times that he's her Bestfriend and she even bro- and dude-zoned him.
When he saw that Delilah noticed that he was staring he looked away immediately and he was getting embarrassed.
Melanie and Niki stood up and Delilah helped them wash the dishes. After everything was cleaned Niki and Melanie started to get the Ingredients.
They are planning to make Bourbon Vanilla cupcakes.
While both girls were baking Delilah pulled Karl into her room and locked the door.
"Woah what are you Doing?" He asks panicking, not knowing what she's doing. She sits down on her bed next to him and starts to whisper: "Do you like Melanie?" She whispers and Karl looks at her in shock, not knowing what to say. "What do you mean by that?" He laughs nervously. "Do you have a crush on Melanie?" She rolls her eyes knowing that Karl knew exactly what she meant.
"Well uh no" he quickly answers and he feels his cheeks getting warm.
"Stop lying Karl, I can tell by the way you look at her!" "Maybe I do have a Little crush on her...but I'm not sure! And I'm also sure that she doesn't like me that way...she only thinks of me as her Bestfriend or her homie" he says looking down at his hands and Delilah tries to cheer him up.
"C'mon! Im sure if you take your time to find out your feelings and you continue to hang out with her, she might also develop feelings! She used to catch feelings fast but after the dumb pranks she learned to not fall for everybody she thinks is nice or attractive." Delilah rubs his back with her hand and Karl looks at her in the eyes giggling.
"Thanks Delise, will try my best! Just scared that she will... cheat on me." Karl looks down again and Delilah asks him if he's ok. "I am..for now. I'm scared she will cheat on me like how my ex did. If I'm honest, my ex was one of the sweetest, gorgeous and nicest girl I have ever met and we were happy until I catched her with another guy making out." Karl felt disgusted even saying that but he knew that he couldn't do anything about it.
"Hey, Melanie would never do that and I know it. If she does I am gonna gang up on her because that is something that you shouldn't do but I can promise to you that she would never do that! And if she's unhappy with her relationship, she would probably break up with them and not cheat on them."
"Thanks for the help but don't tell Melanie any of this!" He tells her and she laughs nodding.
