Chapter 26: 𝑀'𝑙𝑎𝑑𝑦

3rd person POV:
Melanie's heart broke just by that sentence and you could hear some sniffles coming from her.

"May I?" Karl asks looking down at Melanie's lips and she blushed looking away from him.
"W-wha-" she realized and nodded slowly before going in.

Melanie and Karl's hearts were beating so fast and it just felt like everything had stopped and they were the only two existing. Melanie wrapped her arms around Karl's neck and deepens the kiss.

She did kiss a guy before but it has never felt so nice and warm before than now. Melanie and Karl just forgot about every problem they have been going through at the moment.

What they didn't realize was that Delilah was standing in the middle of the park watching them.

They pulled away after a long, slow and nice kiss and took a deep breath again.
They both were speechless and didn't know what to say so Karl began to speak:
"Melanie, It was very difficult for me to find out my feelings about you but today I realized that I was deeply in love with you. And only you." Melanie started to tear up again and she couldn't say any words anymore.

"Melanie, can I be the asker? Oh wait, can I be YOUR asker?" He asks still holding Melanie's hands tight and she nods quickly still trying to process what just happened.

She kissed the boy she has been inlove with But just didn't see it. She kissed Karl Jacobs, her neighbor!

After hugging eachother for a long time they stepped back and just giggled at eachother. They were both already really wet and they didn't want to get sick so they turned around to only see Delilah standing there in shock.

They both laughed again just seeing Delilah like that.

"I do not ever. ever. Want to see this again. Please god bleach my eyes" Delilah is unbelievably funny 😥

"Stop" Mel giggles and Karl is meanwhile just mesmerized by Melanie. By how beautiful she is, how sweet she can be and by how Melanie just changed his life.

"Yo Karl, now you can stop looking at my girlfriend" Delilah angrily looked in Karl's deep soul and Karl knew he was probably going to die when they went home.

Delilah sometimes feels like a motherly figure to Melanie and now it kinda makes sense. Delilah did love both of them together but she knew she had to ruin the fucking moment. She knew exactly what she was doing and she does not regret it.

"I'm going to leave you guys both alone now, maybe you guys can..dance in the middle of the rain" Delilah was slowly walking away from them and Melanie and Karl blushed a little looking at each other before smiling.

"Good Idea, Delise" Melanie shouted and Delilah chuckled.

As Delilah slowly walks away Melanie and Karl hear a beautiful melody from a far.

They both looked behind them and saw the musician from a few days ago and he was under a roof at a bar.

"Sooo, shall we dance M'lady?" Karl smirks and Melanie just stood there in shock of what Karl just said.

"M-M'lady?" Karl now is worried that he might've said something wrong or made her uncomfortable.

"SURE!" Melanie almost shouts and they both start to giggle.

The only wish Melanie had is for someone to call her M'lady or Sugarcube.

(I do not care I will make as many Miraculous related jokes and if you don't like it. I'm sorry 😆😆😆😆😆😆)

Karl's POV:
We were slowly dancing to the melody played in the background and oh my, my heart was beating so fast .

Im glad that Melanie liked the nickname "M'lady" though. I know she has been watching a lot of Miraculous so I decided to binge watch the show as well and I do like it.

She put her head on my chest, humming to the melody and I stared at her beautiful and wet hair.

Right when we were enjoying our moment a thunder stormed and because we completely forgot that it was still storming, Melanie slightly jumped back but I continued hugging her while giggling.

"I'm sorry, I was jealous when Jane kissed you, I should've known that she kissed you first but you just stood there and I couldn't control my feelings...sorry" Melanie muttered and I was feeling even worse than before.

"I understand, I would probably also be a little heartbroken when you would kiss another guy." I admit and we both stay silent until we hear another person sniffling nearby.

We looked around us again and saw a short, young girl standing alone at a street, alone.

Because we both didn't live in a huge city like New York, not many people were outside and gladly no on was in the park.

"Hey, are you okay?" Me and Melanie walked up to the girl and she stared at us with tears in her eyes.

"I-I can't find my mommy" the little girl was already very wet from the rain so she might get a cold.

"It's okay, we will find your mommy. What's your name?" Melanie tried to comfort her and the young girl starts hugging Melanie.

--time skip--

"Thank you so much for finding my daughter! I couldn't thank you more, what is your name?" The mother of the little girl, Lani, asks.
"Oh no problem at all. Im glad we were able to find you and my name is Melanie and this is Karl" she smiles and I nod.

"Well I Could invite you guys to dinner. I made dinner before I took a walk with Lani here. As a thank you"
"No no you really don't have to ma'am. It's completely fine" Melanie replies.

"No I insist. My daughter would probably like having you guys with us" Cara, the mother, says and I answer with: "We would love to!"
