Chapter 24: 𝐽𝑎𝑛𝑒..?

3rd person POV:
A few days have passed and tomorrow Niki is supposed to fly to Britain again. That's going to be an emotional day. Everybody knows already.

While Niki and Delilah were spending time together, shopping at the mall Karl and Melanie were outside in the Park eating Ice Cream. Of course it was ice cream.

They have been enjoying the weather, the calming violin music played by a musician in the park and their ice cream of course.

Everything was going fine until a familiar girl came up to Karl and Melanie.

Jane, 22 years old, ex girlfriend of Karl who cheated on him. She was the person who went up to Karl.

Jane was taking a small walk around the park and saw in the corn or of her eye a familiar face of a boy she definitely knew. Then it hit her: it was Karl!

She went up to the two friends and tapped on his shoulder from behind.

"Excuse me? Uh are you Karl Jacobs?" Karl nodded.
"It's me, Jane from High school! Do you remember me?" Karl then realized and nodded awkwardly. He didn't want to see her but now she's here..

"Oh hey. What are you doing here?" Karl asks trying not to sound too rude.
"Oh uh my friend moved here not too long ago and I'm visiting her, trying to help her with her apartment."
Karl was relieved that she's only visiting her friend and didn't move here.

"Soo how have you been?" Jane asks after a long awkward silence between them.
"Good. What about you?"
"Could be better I guess. But now that I have found you again I'm feeling much better!" She tried not to sound too weird but Karl didn't like how she said that.

Melanie was just listening to their small conversation sometimes giggling by how awkward and weird it was.

"What happened to you and your boyfriend by the way? I heard that you guys broke up?" One of Karl's old classmates and friend told Karl about Jane and her boyfriend, Mike Hawk broke up. Yes, believe it or not his name is Mike Hawk.

"Oh about that..well turns out he's actually gay after questioning it for a while and then he cheated on me with another boy.." you were able to see some tears in the eyes and Karl didn't know if he felt bad or if Jane deserved it.

"I'm sorry to hear that." That's all he responded.

After that weird and small chat Jane left the park and Melanie was already done with her ice cream while Karl was only half way done.

"So who was that? You looked really uncomfortable." She asks concerned.
"Oh her? That's my ex girlfriend I once told you about. The one who cheated on me. I don't really like talking about her or what happened but I know I can trust you guys." He was looking down at his lap with his hand in it.
Melanie knew that Karl wanted to cry just like how he did last time he talked about Jane so she took his hand and held them to comfort him.

They had a cute moment but then they noticed that Karl's ice was dripping on the bench.

They both stood up and Karl decided to just eat the ice cream on the way home.

Karl and Melanie had so many moments together and they were still blind about their love. They both thought it's going to destroy their friendship or they were scared to get rejected..

If only someone would already confess their love to eachother.

--a few days later--

3rd Person Pov:
Niki left 2 days ago and just like how everybody expected it, Melanie and Niki cried together while hugging eachother. They have come closer again, had many moments together and even had a small stream on Melanie's new twitch account where she is going to stream in the future. Niki and Karl helped her set everything up and in the first stream she already gained 5 subs and 972 followers!

Some people in the chat were asking about Karl but she ignored them.
Melanie and Niki were playing weird and cracked Roblox games together. Yes, together.
Niki was on her laptop, sitting on the bed but she was still in frame in the facecam.

Niki and Melanie took a picture together and posted it both on their social media.

Melanie has become more confident, loved and she even got more friends because of her bestfriends, Karl, Niki and Delilah.

She couldn't thank them more than she already did but she just wants to let them know how much they mean to her and how much she appreciates everything they do for her.

Karl, Melanie and Delilah are planning on going to a restaurant at 7pm and it's already 6:40pm so they started to walk to the restaurant together.

Everytime Karl looked at Melanie he just skips a heart beat. He hasn't felt like that in such a long time. But Karl being Karl still is clueless if he's really in love with Melanie of if it's just a small crush that will go away sooner or later.

When they arrived Karl couldn't believe who he saw, it was Jane again. She is sitting at a table in the back with her friend and even tho Karl tried to not get Jane's attention and get recognized he failed.

Jane saw the 3 bestfriends walking to a table, sitting down. She was about to stand up and walk to Karl's table but her food came so she had to wait longer.

Karl and the 2 girls were almost finished with their food and Jane was still waiting for her friend to finish her dessert.

She kept looking at Karl and even Delilah saw that.

"Who's that girl that keeps looking at you?" Delilah finally asks after they were done with the food and Karl didn't even want to turn around since he knew exactly who she was talking about.

"My ex girlfriend" he says quickly.
"Oh..I'm sorry"
"Don't apologize, let's just leave after we pay."

Jane saw the waitress walking up to the table the gang was at with the receipt and she quickly runs to her trying to stop her.

"Uh excuse me? Could you maybe give this letter to that boy?" She points to Karl and the waitress nods, continuing to go to the table.

She gives them their receipt and Karl was about to pay when he found the piece of paper.

Could you meet me on the bridge outside the restaurant?

He was about to declined but then he thought about it. Maybe she will finally genuinely apologize and not fake cry, begging to start over. He never believed what she said because he knew that if she wanted to, she could be a great liar and manipulative. But instead she was a sweet, lovely and always ready to help so everyone at the school was surprised about her cheating on Karl.

He thought about it very long until he snapped out of it when Delilah kept waving her hand in front of Karl's face trying to get his attention.

"Oh sorry, uhm you guys can leave already. I have to do something so don't wait for me." He says and the girls looked at him suspicious looking down at the piece of paper he was still holding before putting it away.

ALSO I WAS JUST SINGING SONGS WITH MY SIS WITH OUR KARAOKE MIKROPHONE BUT NOW MY OTHER SIS AND OUR MOTHER ARE KINDA FIGHTING BUT ITS OK IM GOING TO MEDIDATE AND THE SHIFT NOW!
