~ Chapter 17 ~

It was a few days after the football game and Taichi was back in the company's walls to see if any of his father's employees would treat him like he was a child. If anyone of them treats me like a little kid, then I'll have my answer on if I can trust them or not. The teenaged boy thought as he sat in his father's and soon-to-be-his chair, which allowed him to see everyone because he was the only person that would be sitting in the center. He needed to see the men because he knew that he couldn't trust some of them. He hoped that he could trust at least one of them. Taichi knew that if he couldn't trust at least one of them, then he would have to fire every last one of the men that were watching him.

He sighed as he knew that he was hating his thoughts as his gut feeling was still telling him that he shouldn't trust any of them to get things done. He then smiled softly as he chuckled to himself. Well, that's fine. Dad says if they don't trust me then I can get rid of them. That's fine by me. He thought as he raised his head, a determined look on his face as the men in the room grew shocked at the amount of determination Taichi had. "I'm only going to say this once. Get out if you plan on hindering the company because I'm going to be the CEO soon." Taichi spoke as his determined gaze turned into a very harsh glare as he eyed every man who was in the room with him.

"For a brat, you're very rude." One of the men spoke up and Taichi knew that his blood was boiling but instead of blowing up, he released it all in one small sigh. I knew it. He thought as he wasn't even surprised, but he was very disappointed.

"Well, I don't need people hindering the company and putting me under just because I'm fourteen. My dad raised me to take on the company and if you gentlemen can't see that, then all of you can leave." Taichi told them.

"My son is right." Taichi's father came inside the room as he was glad that Taichi had taken up the stand to tell the men what he had thought. "He's doing what's best for this company and we don't need lawsuits piling on us because of you." He told the men, who then looked at Taichi's father with fear in their eyes.

Taichi turned to look at his father and the man had gone from polite to scary in one second as he grinned at the men that worked under him. Dad is scary sometimes but these men are acting like he's the devil! Taichi thought.

"H-how are you not scared of him when he gets like that?" One of the men demanded of Taichi and the young man was confused by the man's question.

"Why would I be scared of my father? I know he's not going to hurt me." Taichi gave the man a simple answer and they were shocked as they watched their boss, who was still angry, but he still moved his hand to ruffle Taichi's hair in a lovingly way. Taichi didn't even mind that his father was ruffling his hair as he knew that was his parents' favorite way to show their love towards him.

Taichi and his father watched as nearly all of the men left the office, leaving them alone with one other man who was cowering before them. Taichi's eyes widened when he realized something. That's not a man. That's Koshiro! What's Koshiro doing here? Taichi turned to look at his father, who had guilt in his eyes.

"I'm sorry, Koshiro. I forgot you were here." The man spoke as he approached Koshiro. The younger teen was frightened by Taichi's father's stern nature with his untrustworthy employees but once the man had apologized to him, Koshiro was able to relax as he breathed out his nervousness.

"It's okay." He answered as he knew that the man didn't mean to scare him.

"What is Koshiro doing here? Koshiro?" Taichi asked the younger teen and Koshiro had softly smiled at him.

"Oh, I work here during my free time." He revealed to Taichi and the taller teen was shocked by his words.

"Is that why we never see you around on certain days?" He asked and Koshiro chuckled sheepishly.

"Yeah. Sorry about not telling you, Taichi. It wasn't anything I wanted to intentionally hide." Koshiro spoke and Taichi then chuckled at the younger teen's words.

"That's okay, Koshiro. Do you like working here?" Taichi asked and Koshiro then grinned at Taichi.

"It's amazing, Taichi-san! You two have a lot of electronics here." Koshiro's eyes sparkled at the mention of electronics and both Yagamis chuckled at Koshiro's love for electronics.

Taichi was glad that he had at least one person he could trust to work under him when he fully takes over the company.
