The Perfect Arrangement ~ Taiora AU

~ Chapter 5 ~

After Taichi had woken up from his fainted spell, he looked up to see that Sora was squeezing water out of a rag. "S-sora?" He spoke and he licked his lips. My throat is dry. Taichi thought as he laid up from the couch he was resting on. Sora hummed when she heard Taichi calling her name and that was when Taichi decided to speak. "I'm going to get some water." He spoke but before he could even get up, Sora was immediately pushing him back onto the couch. 

"No you don't mister. I know you were happy when you fainted but I've also noticed that you have been overworking yourself. You can't do that to yourself, Taichi. We're only fourteen. We've got our entire lives to do things." Sora spoke as she handed Taichi a glass of water, Taichi smiled as he sipped from the glass, glad that Sora was happy with the arrangement of being his wife. She's acting like a wife already. He thought, smiling at Sora as he watched the young woman bring over the rag to him. Taichi laid down as Sora had ordered him to do so and she laid the rag on his hot forehead. Taichi hadn't realized that he had gotten a fever and he frowned. The more I simply rest, the more behind I will get. He thought and he turned to glance over at Sora, who seemed to have realized why Taichi was so concerned. "I have moved your meetings to next week and your press conference had also been reschedule to next week." Sora spoke and Taichi paled as he noticed how angry she looked as she approached him. "If I see you working on any day, this week, I will lock up your office, do you hear me?" She demanded of him and Taichi had soon realized why wives are scary. It was because they cared so much. 

"Y-yes, ma'am!" Taichi chanted as he vowed to not make Sora angry like that ever again. She was the mom friend of the group and now, I understand why. He thought as he watched Sora work on homework. Taichi watched his lovely fiancee until his eyelids became too heavy for him. When Sora heard soft snoring, she smiled over at Taichi to see that he was sleeping very peacefully and she was glad. You're always overworking yourself, Taichi. As your wife, I will make sure that you will get proper food and rest. She thought as she covered Taichi with a blanket as she glanced over at the clock to check the time. Because it was only 6:00 PM, she knew that Taichi will wake up hungry and she got to work on borrowing Taichi's mother kitchen as she cooked dinner for the entire family. Dinner only took 40 minutes as opposed to the normal hour that Sora would have taken but it was only because Hikari noticed that the young woman was cooking for the entire Yagami family and Hikari wanted to help. 

"You're good for onii-chan, Sora-nee." Hikari spoke up, scaring Sora but the girl had made sure not to spill any of the food they had prepared. 

"You sure?" Sora asked as she didn't want Hikari to think that she was stealing her older brother away from her and she voiced this to Hikari, who giggled at her. 

"That's silly. I know you're not stealing him away. He loves you and you love him. It's the perfect match, right?" Hikari had never blown away Sora with how mature she was but Sora was definitely blown away by how mature Hikari had sounded with her words. 

"Kari." Sora smiled at the younger girl and when Hikari had noticed the smile, she smiled as well. She knew why Sora was worried but she wasn't like that. She could easily see that her older brother loved Sora so much and she wasn't one to just ruin other people's happy endings like that. Hikari then sighed in relief over Daisuke taking her gentle rejection well. She hated to have seen the look of hurt on his face but when Daisuku explained to her that he had been trying to get over her, Hikari talked him through everything and why she wouldn't be a good choice for him. Hikari wasn't perfect and she explained that to Daisuke. She was glad that Daisuke understood after she had explained that he had fallen for someone that wasn't really real. Hikari was glad that Takeru had also understood, seeing that the blonde-haired boy wasn't explosive and very understanding. He promised Hikari that Daisuke will find the right person for him, whether it was a male or a female that will find their way into Daisuke's heart. 

When Hikari noticed how concerned Sora was as she stared at the girl, Hikari blushed. "Sorry, I was thinking about today. I told Daisuke my decision and he took it very well." She recapped her day to Sora and the older girl hugged Hikari. 

"Thank you for trusting me with your personal stuff, Kari. I really do appreciate it." Sora spoke and Hikari smiled at the girl. Yes, she makes the perfect wife for nii-chan. She thought as she smiled at her brother's fiancee.
