chapter 3

September 3rd

Peter's Journal

Months passed since I seen the jet land where Vega was resting after enduring life threatening wounds, I left to find help for her but it seems that help had arrived just in time for her. I told myself that I was going to stick around and keep her safe but I felt as if I were being lead to do other things and it was something I needed to do alone. I planned on visiting Vega when the time was right but our path would cross sooner than I thought.

I had plans to visit the school to speak with guy in charge of everything there and that's when I seen her, she looked relieved to see me and I planned on speaking with her once I was done with what I had come here to do first.

Prof. X: I have been expecting you Peter,  she spoke highly of you while she was resting but what I'm not understanding is why you left her alone while she suffered with life threatening injuries,  do you care to explain it to me?

Peter: I left her alone to find her some help but I seen the jet land close to where she was and I didn't see the need to return...

Prof. X: yet here you stand, we shall continue our plans when you see her. She has been worried about you Peter and I think she needs to see you.

Peter: of course professor.

I walked out of his office and searched for Vega who had been sitting outside watching the other students hanging out.

Peter: is this spot taken?

Vega: hey. I was worried about you, where have you been?

Peter: I've been hiding out for my safety and yours.

Vega: I haven't seen you since the day I got badly injured, how must hiding can you possibly do?

Peter: I know my leaving was unfair to you but I'm risking your safety just by being here, I'm being watched as we speak.

Vega: I want you here with me, it is alot safer here than being out there alone.

Peter: could we go someplace more private?

Vega: sure, let's walk to the garden. Nobody ever goes there.

After we were alone, we spoke about what happened after I left her alone.

Peter: I was going to come back and help you but when the jet but truth was I was afraid it was Stryker coming for us and I didn't want him taking both of us.

Vega: so you left for your own safety? I thought you were better than that, of course I was wrong, you only cared about your own safety while I was forced to fight for my life alone.

Peter: it may have seemed that way but I promise I went looking for help for you.

Vega: help come for me while I wanted you there with me.

Peter: I can't be the guy you expect me to be Vega, it isn't that easy for me.

Vega: because you don't want to make things easy for anyone including yourself. Maybe it would be better if you finish the reason why you really showed up today, I know I'm not the reason you are here.

I watched as she walked away leaving me to think about what she just said, I was here because of her but only to tell her the good news that I recently found out.
