chapter 19

December 23rd

Rescue mission.

Nathan's Dialogue.

After finding the location where Vega had been held against her will. We eventually found her but help I'm afraid come too late for her, Peter had found her body laying on the cement floor.

Peter: she has a pulse but she is cold to the touch.

Nathan: you're the fastest one here, get her back to the mansion and don't stop until you get there.

I watched as he carefully picked her up and left with her in his arms.

Logan: do you trust him enough to be alone with her?

Nathan: no but he can get to the mansion before we could. She wanted to tell you herself that we agreed to move to the place you were telling her about.

Logan: yeah well I was informed that the place was destroyed by Stryker, he thought I was there and had it blown up so...

Nathan: not that the place you wanted her move to wasn't safe because I'm sure it was and as kindhearted as he is, I'm afraid she isn't completely safe and won't be as long as Stryker is after us all.

Logan: well maybe you're right but Xavier wants what is best for us including staying safe and protected.

Nathan: we should get back to the mansion and make sure they made it back without being attacked.

Logan: don't tell Vega I told you but I'm glad she is with you instead of Peter, something about him seems off but I don't get a bad vibe from you, truth be told you remind me of me when I was your age.

We headed back to the mansion, never leaving Vega's side. The professor told me that the bullet had been removed amd that she was going to pull through despite that removing the bullet would leave a scar and that she would be in pain for a week or so.

Nathan: thank you for saving her Professor.

Xavier: you saved her, I'm just giving her treatment. You should put aside your differences and thank Peter after all he was the one who brought her back here.
