chapter 5

August 15th

Alone.

Vega's point of view

I had been sitting in my room when I heard professor Xavier talking with Pete and a new comer to the school. He sounded familiar but I couldn't think of where I heard his voice from,  I had quietly stepped out into the hallway and seen this roughneck walking beside Pete. I was going to keep my distance but something about the newcomer intrigued and I had to know why he was here that was until Rogue stepped from behind the corner next to me with a new student.

Rogue: there you are, I was hoping you could do me a favor since the others are busy doing other things and preparing for the dance tonight. Could you show the new kid around.

Vega: of course, where is the new kid?

I seen a boy walk out from behind her, I found it hard to stop staring into his eyes but managed to focus my attention back at Rogue when she started speaking again.

Rogue: this is Nathan, he will be living here from now on, I trust you to get to know each other since you both were found the same way.

Vega: I will definitely show him around the place.

Rogue: you should both should get ready for tonight, it will be fun I promise.

I let out a nervous chuckle before she walked away from us.

Vega: so Nathan, do you live around these parts?

Nathan: it might sound funny but I actually don't know anything but my name. I woke up with dog tags around my neck.

Vega: if it makes you feel better I don't know anything about my past either, the adults here found me in the woods miles away from here, I could have died if they didn't find me in time.

I felt as he slowly slipped his fingers between mine as we got to know each other while exploring the place inside and out.

Nathan: it was nice getting to know each other, perhaps we should get ready for whatever dance the professors have put together and maybe one day we can find your father together.

I felt him gently kiss my hand which caught the attention of Peter who had become mad about what he just seen.
