TW: mentions of scars and self harm

Clay's POV

The site of George lying on the floor with a small amount of red liquid dripping down his temple was terrifying to Clay. After a brief moment of shock and realization, Clay ran over to George's unconscious body with an overwhelming feeling of urgency creeping into his mind.

"GEORGE?? WAKE UP!" Clay shouted as he lightly shook George in an effort to wake him without hurting his head wound. George didn't respond.

Fuck Fuck FUCK. He might have a concussion or something I...I need to call Sapnap.

Clay picked up George's cellphone from the nightstand only to find it's battery life was completely drained of any power.

My phone is downstairs I need to grab it but...I don't wanna leave George's side incase he wakes up. Fuck what do I do what do I DO.....I'll run and grab it. He isn't gonna wake up in the few seconds it'll take me to grab it.

Clay stood up, and ran out the room and down the stairs, his veins filled with adrenaline making him take barely any time at all to return to George's side. Once back in the room Che quickly went to dial Sapnap's number. That's when it hit him.

I...don't have his number. God damnit I don't have his number. I only have one choice than...

9-1-1

Clay lifted his phone up to his ear before pulling it away and switching to speaker mode. If he was instructed to do anything he would need both his hands free most likely. The phone began to ring..

once...

twice...

a third time...

a fou-

"9-1-1 what's your emergency?"

Thank god

"My-my friend fell of the bed in his sleep or soemthing he- he is bleeding from the side of his head and he's unconscious what...what do I do????"

"Remain calm sir. Check for a pulse, do you know how to do that?"

I...do. Please brain let me do this without any problems....this isn't the same situation as before it...it's different. He will live.

"Y-yes I- I remember how."

Clay took his right hand's pointer and middle finger and placed it behind George's ear which was stained with a light tint of red. He slid his fingers down to where he had once learned to check for a pulse. Squeezing his eyes shut, he felt a pulse.

"He has a pulse...it seems to be going kind of fast though...that isn't good r-right?"

Images from past events started to flash through Clay's head. The motion of his fingers sliding against cold pale skin searching for signs of life. The fear he was doing it wrong and would be the one to blame for hurting someone he cared for so deeply. He shook his head as if to blur the images, to make them disappear. They faded for a moment.

"He's alive, that is good. Now check his breathing pattern, if he has a concussion or something worse he may have a difficult time breathing. Do you know how?"
