It was around nine o'clock that same night. The boys had been in surprisingly high spirits despite the emotional day they experienced. Sapnap stood in the kitchen cleaning up for once. He had agreed to take care of it this one time since both his best friends had gone through so much that day. He had too, hearing the terrifying words of trauma leave both his best friend's mouth, seeing the burn scars scattered across George's chest, and watching both of their hearts break in front of his own eyes. Sapnap always felt as if he had to be the strong one, having a slightly better upbringing than the other two. He was also much better at hiding his emotions, locking them away as far back as he could until he was alone in his room.
George and Clay sat on the couch in the living room of Clay's house. The TV was displaying a movie that George had picked out. It was an older movie called Holes about a boy sent to some rehabilitation place where the people sent there are forced to dig holes all day in the middle of nowhere. Clay had seen this movie a number of times before, but when he found out George had never even heard of it, he was shocked. So of course, Clay picked that movie for the two to watch. Clay sat to the left of George with the intention of allowing the brunette to rest his head upon his 'good' shoulder. George didn't do this, though. With their relationship now being exposed to Sapnap, George decided to rest his head on Clay's lap as they watched the movie. Clay slowly and carefully ran his hand through the brunette's hair, practically putting the short boy to sleep.
Sapnap soon finished cleaning up, joining the boys in the living room. Sapnap had seen the movie one time before, and was complaining about having to rewatch it. He soon gave up though, too tired to keep complaining. Sapnap had originally taken a seat in the chair next to the couch, George's extended legs preventing any space for Sapnap. About halfway through the movie, Sapnap took matters into his own hands and lifted George's feet up, sitting down where they once laid and placing them on his lap.
Moments like these are what kept the trio going. They found comfort and peace within one another, no matter the storm surrounding them.
Clay's POV
It was around noon the following day, and it was time for Clay's physical therapy session for his shoulder. He didn't really want to go, but with convincing from the other two he hopped in the car anyway. His left arm wasn't in too much pain anymore, as long as he didn't move it. He could live with an injured arm, it's not like he did sports or cared about school all too much. The main reason he even cared about healing it quickly was so he'd be able to wrap both his arms around George. To be able to hold him even closer, and never let go.
"It's gonna go great baby, don't get yourself worked up!" George whined from the front seat of the car. George sitting up front instead of in the back with his lover was 'punishment' for Clay making them late to the appointment.
"Are you sure you guys can't come in with me?" Clay complained, making puppy dog eyes through the car mirror.
Sapnap rolled his eyes. "George, don't give in. Don't be a little bitch."
"I'm not!" George boasted, covering his eyes with his hands to avoid giving in.
Clay sighed, sliding down dramatically in the backseat.
About five minutes later, Sapnap turned the vehicle into a practically empty lot. He was able to claim a front row spot, having a handicap pass due to Clay's body still being in a somewhat fragile state. Clay slimmed out of the car, both boy's doing the same to make sure he got into the building okay.
They got to the front entrance, Sapnap lightly patting the blond on the back and wishing him good luck before holding the door open. George then gave him a good luck kiss on the cheek, the side without the scar.
