Clay's POV

The car ride home was completely silent. The radio wasn't on, no voices to be heard, even the engine of the vehicle seemed to be quieter than normal. Clay sat in the back seat with George laying next to him, his head resting on the blonde's right leg. George was still crying, but it was a silent cry. Clay could feel his shaky breathe against himself, and lightly rubbed the brunette's back in small circles. When they arrived to Clay's house, nobody got out of the Truck for quite some time. They sat there, none of them wanting to say something. Eventually Sapnap got out and started bringing George's belongings into the house. Clay followed shortly after, leaving George in the car alone.

"Is your mom gonna be okay with him living with you?" Sapnap asked, completely forgetting prior to this moment about Clay' mom.

"Oh, uh, yeah she would be fine with it. I think her trip got extended to two months so."

"You think? Isn't that something you should know for sure?"

Damnit Sapnap stop asking questions.

"Well it happens a lot, and she isn't home yet like she would have been otherwise so" Clay said, quick to think of excuses per usual.

"Oh alright. What do we do once she's back though?" Sapnap didn't seem to suspect anything, he just tended to ask a lot of questions. Just like when the two were growing up.

"We can worry about that when the time comes. Until then, Let's just focus and helping George get better.

Sapnap nodded and Clay exited the house to help George in. As Clay approached the door, he noticed George was sitting up now.

Good, he must be feeling a little better now.

Clay opened the car door. "George let's get you inside. Me and Sap got all your stuff inside, so we can set up your room, well technically our room since I'll be sleeping in there with you."

This got George's attention for a moment. "Are we going to be uh sharing a bed?" The sudden question caught the taller boy off guard for a moment.

"We'll figure that out later. Cmon." Clay reached his hand out to George, who took it with a weak smile and exited the car. They didn't let go until they were in the house.

The rest of the day was filled with mostly silence, some pizza Sapnap had ordered, and the unpacking of George's stuff. It was late now and Sapnap had just left the house.

George's POV

"So, are we sharing a bed or not. I wanna go to sleep." Normally George hated the thought of sleeping. The chance of having a nightmare always scared him, especially now. If he was gonna have a nightmare tonight would definitely be the night to have one after the events that had occurred. The memories of the blood sliding down his neck, watching his favorite people in the world look so scared and helpless, his aunt's voice fresh in his mind as if he could still hear her.

"Well, it's up to you really. Do you want me to sleep on the floor until I can find the air mattress, or do you want me to just share the bed with you. It's a slightly smaller bed than at Sapnap's, but bigger than the hospital bed so.." Clay blushed a little. George noticed it.

"Well for now you can just share the bed with me. The floor will probably leave you with a nasty neck ache." George smiled at the blonde as he spoke, knowing the real reason he wanted to share the bed was because of how safe he felt with Clay there next to him.

"Sounds good to me Georgie." Clay smiled, but George's faded a little.

Georgie. She called me that. I hate it when she does that. When Clay does it's....different, though. It's sweet like honey, and comfortable to me.
