George's POV

The two lovers had shared an amazing moment that night. Confessions, realization, passion, and affection. They slept in each other's arms that night, but it was different than before. The first time they did this, they were in a hospital and not physically well. The other times it was only once George had his nightmares, woke up, and fallen asleep in his arms. This time they were in a completely normal state. No hospital beds, no nightmares, just love. They didn't even think of the fact Sapnap could wake up and walk in on them practically asleep on top of each other.

=====================Half way into the next day=====================

"I won't be long guys, just gonna run and grab some groceries. See you in no more than an hour!" Clay said as he walked out the door with Sapnap's keys. Clay had told George once he had to uber everywhere, and that's expensive. Knowing this, he was able to convince Sapnap to lend the blonde boy his truck just this one time. Sapnap wasn't necessarily fond of the idea, but agreed regardless.

"He better not crash my damn truck That hunk of metal is my baby." Sapnap whined.

I don't understand why people are so attached to vehicles.

"It'll be fine Sapnap, I'm sure he's a good driver."

"Does he even have a license?"

"No"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN NO?!"

"His mom didn't let him register because that meant his dad could probably find them"

"Oh. Speaking of, why is there only one bedroom here? Where does his mom sleep?"

Oh no

"Oh I actually don't know. I think because she's always going on business trips she probably doesn't need a real bedroom. I'm sure she keeps most her stuff on her. Anyway it's not our business, shouldn't you be more concerned with the fact he's currently our driving you 'precious' baby without a license?"

Please stop asking questions please

"YEAH I'LL KILL HIM FOR THAT!"

========2 Hours later=======

George was getting nervous.

He said one hour at the most. That was two hours and 5 minutes ago. Not that I'm counting.

"Okay I know I care a whole fucking lot about that truck but I care for Clay just as much. More actually. Should we call him?"

George didn't even answer before pulling out his phone and quickly dialing the missing boy's number.

Ring. Silence. Ring. Silence. Ring. Silence.

This repeated until a sudden sound broke through. Tearing a gut wrenching hold through George's heart.

Voicemail. Fuck.

"I'm gonna try again."

Ring. Silence. Ring. Silence.

"Wait, George take it off speaker for a second." Sapnap demanded, standing up and looking around. George switched the phone off speaker and held it to his ear.

Sapnap started walking around, before suddenly running up the stairs in a sort of panic. Seconds later, he returned with a phone in his hand. Not his own phone though. It was Clay's.

"What kind of fucking idiot doesn't bring his phone with them when driving?! Especially when you don't even have a-"

"SAPNAP SHUT UP!"

The room fell silent. Sapnap took a seat at the table with George. The same table where two lovers had shared a life changing moment just one night ago.

"Let's call an uber. Maybe he's stuck at the grocery store." Sapnap whispered, startled by George's change of voice from seconds ago.

The two boy's spent their time in silence as they anxiously awaited the expensive escort to arrive. Once it did, they took no hesitation in making their way out. Out to find their friend. The car ride was just as silent.

-----------------15 minutes Later--------------

"Thank you sir!" George said, practically tossing the money at the poor girl who had driven them and exiting the car in a hurry. Sapnap doing the same.

The two boys ran through the parking lot and through the sliding glass doors. They scanned the entire grocery store three times over. They asked for an announcement to be made for Clay to report to the front desk. Nothing. No sign of the boy. They exited the store, demotivated and worried. Suddenly, Sapnap froze.

"What's wrong?! Do you see him?!" George shook his friend by the shoulders.

"My truck. It's right there." Sapnap whispered, pointing two rows over to the shiny truck parked in place and turned off.

They instantly ran over to it. George knocked on the window, the sun's reflection making it hard to see through the window. No response. Sapnap pushed him out of the way and placed his hands up to the window, making a shape for his eyes to peer into the window from. After only seconds Sapnap pulled away, mumbling something under his breath.

The athlete turned to George. "He's not in there...."

George's face went pale as the blood drained from his face instantly. It was George's turn to push Sapnap this time as he gipped the car handle and pulled it open. The door was unlocked, and the key's were in the ignition.

Where the fuck could he be.

++++++++++++++++CLAY'S POV FROM AN HOUR AGO++++++++++++++++

The blonde boy hopped into the truck, inserting the key's into the ignition and turning it on. Just as he shifted the gear, there was a bang on the window.

Who the hell is-

Clay stopped. Eyes going wide. It was George's aunt, standing right outside the truck with her hands on the window and an angry expression on her face. Clay rolled the window down.

"What do you want."

"I don't appreciate being spit  on sweetie. And you took my money."

"What? No I didn't, I was never even in the house." Clay scolded, already very agitated by the women.

"Not literal cash. George. He's how I get my money, the observer people or whatever visit once a month to make sure he's being 'taken care of'. They came by early this time. Him and his stuff were gone and they didn't like that. They're not giving me my money until they see he's returned. I know he won't come willingly and police are the last thing I want. So, Clay, I'll just take you instead. If you don't cooperate I'll kill your little Georgie. Then I get his life insurance money and he won't be an issue any longer."

Clay was speechless. How can one women be so incredibly cruel. Deep down he knew he had to do it though. He had to listen. For George. And so he did. He hesitantly turned off the car and followed the disgusting excuse for a human to her own vehicle. Knowing his life was about to get much, much worse.
