One Month Later

(Nobody's POV)

"Are you guys really gonna do this? Just gonna leave me and everything in your life behind?" Sapnap yelled at his best friends after hearing their plan. Until now, they had kept it a secret.

George sighed. "Sapnap we said you could come, and you're gonna be the only one to know where we are so you can always visit us. We at least are waiting until after graduation to leave, if it were up to Clay we would be leaving tomorrow after class."

Sapnap ignored the brunette and turned to Clay. "What about your mom huh? After everything she has been through with your dad you're just gonna leave without telling her? She's been gone since we reconnected and you haven't even tried to contact her. You're just gonna leave?!"

Sapnap wasn't even angry. He was hurt, and the only way he knew how to react is to return the feeling to those that caused it.

"You don't know anything about her anymore. Sapnap have you not fucking figured it out yet? SHE. IS. DEAD. She died months before I came back! She died in my fucking arms in the same way George almost died that night! She tried to kill herself so many times because of my dad and the situation we were in and hated being alive every second up until the moment she died. You. Know. NOTHING." Clay collapsed to the ground in tears, covering his face with both his hands. His arm was completely back to normal now.

Sapnap, still hurt and now a little mad about being lied to, ran to Clay's side. Clay tried to push Sapnap away, but he managed to rap his arms around Clay anyway. George stood in silence, unsure of what to do.

"I- I didn't know. I'm sorry. You could've told me, I'm still your best friend...right..?" A single tear fell from Sapnap's face. For years Clay's mom was like another mother to him.

"I didn't want to....she didn't want people to know. It was in her written will that she gave me when her depression reached it's highest point. She wanted nobody to know. I...I told George but that was only because he was moving in with me. He would've find out eventually, and he never knew her so it didn't matter." Clay took a deep breath before standing up and wiping his eyes. Sapnap did the same.

"How about this," George interrupted "Sapnap, how about during the summer you come up for a week every month or even twice a month. Once college starts you can come up on weekends whenever you have the time. We are going only about three hours away, so you can drive there."

Clay nodded in agreement to the Idea.

"I...I just got you back Clay...I can't lose you again. George, you have been friends with me since the second you got here practically, I don't know how to live without you." Sapnap said shakily, beginning to cry once again.

The other two boys engulfed him in a hug, letting him cry as much as he needed to. They felt guilty for leaving him, but It was the only way to escape the hell they had fallen into. 

"Your final game is tomorrow night, we will be there to cheer you on. We will spend the weekend together, and Sunday is graduation. We will leave Monday evening." George stated as he separated from the hug.

"I have one more request." Sapnap said through watery eyes and flushed cheeks. "Let me drive you there. I know you guys are gonna rent a car to get around, so let me spend the night your first day and I'll drive you to a place where you can just buy one. I have a lot of college funds saved up but I got a scholorship so I have a bunch of extra and can pay at least half the amount if we can come up with the other half."
