22. Local market

We arrived at Bora's university. I stopped at the front gate and she prepared to get out. Suddenly she turned to look at me and I raised my eyebrow.

" Umm... TaeTae-ahh! I wanna talk about this with you." she looked nervous.

" What's wrong?"

" I don't want you to keep me company anymore. I can stay by myself and I am making friends too so it doesn't sound so lonely." she grinned and I felt so proud.

" Are you sure? If you're not, I still can stay with you. I don't mind." I said and smiled.

She nodded cutely, " Of course. I also want you to enjoy your day fulfilled."

I couldn't refuse her. I agreed with her and she got out of the car. I waved goodbye and she walked in.

To be honest, I felt like I raised a daughter. After seeing her became mature, made me feel like a proud dad.
" I'll always be there for you, Bora-ahh." I said while watching her walking through the hallway.

I didn't have any plan. I wanted to buy more clothes but I didn't have money. Should I borrow some from Jin Hyung? He is a businessman and others also have a job but I think I'll go to Jin Hyung.

I called Jin Hyung to ask him for some money. Then he answered my call.

" Hello, Hyung!"
(Oh Taehyung! What's the matter?)
" I want to go shopping but I don't have money. Can I borrow some from you, Hyung?" I felt guilty for asking him for money.
( Ahhh of course. Hyung will give you money. How much do you need?)
" Where are you Hyung? I will go to you."
( I'm at my office.)
" I will be there in 10."

I hung up and drove to his office. There's no traffic jam at this hour and it's easier to drive along.

When I arrived at his office, I parked the car and went inside. His secretary came to me and asked what I wanted.
" Is Mr. Kim free right now?" I asked formally.

" He will be in the meeting in 10 minutes but if you have something to talk with him, I will tell him." She said and smiled.

" I already talked with him by phone. Can you lead to his office?"

She nodded and walked me to his office. She opened a door for me and Seokjin Hyung was sitting and looking through his documents. He turned to look at me and I winked.

" Hyung! You seem so busy." I said while walking to him.

He stood up, " I will be in a meeting."

" I won't bother you any longer." I said.

" It's okay. Just tell me how much do you need." He took out his wallet.

" You can give me as much as you want. I can't say it." I looked at my shoes and felt nervous.

" Aish!! We're not strangers and don't feel guilty to ask me for money. Hyung can afford it." He smiled and patted my shoulder.

Then he gave me 300 000 won (250$+). I was shocked and looked at him with a surprised face.
" Is it not enough?" He asked and I shook my head immediately.

" Hyung! This is more than enough. How could you give me so much money? I don't have money to pay you back." I pouted.

He rolled his eyes, " Do you think a successful man like me need you to pay me back?" He glared at me and I giggled.

" Oh yes! You're rich, brother. It's just a piece of cake to you." I teased.

" Spend it as you want. When you need more, tell me, okay? I won't let you look like homeless."

" anyways, I'm still homeless." I laughed and he hit my shoulder.

" Hyung need to be in a meeting right now. See you later!" He prepared himself.

" Have a nice day, Hyung. Thank you for the money." I smiled and bowed.

He walked out and so I did. I headed out and drove the car away. I think I will just buy clothes at a local market.

I went to a local market where I usually buy clothes. It's difficult to park the car here so I parked a little far away from the market. After that, I walked to the market.

As soon as I went in, there're many people such as old people. I walked through the noisy hallway to the area where it sells clothes.

I saw that shop was on sale. I went and checked it out. Wow! They sell many swag clothes but it's not my style. I like oversized clothes. I walked slowly and scanned through each shop.

Later, I saw that shop sells many oversized clothes. I checked it out and tried it on. As I was scanning through the clothes rack, I saw a white plain shirt that had a little bear on the middle. Seeing that shirt reminded me of Bora. She loves bear. I will buy for her.

I decided to buy it for her and 3 oversized shirts, 2 sweatpants, and 1 pair of brown pants for myself. While I was waiting for the change, suddenly I saw my mom was walking in my direction.

As soon as I saw her, I ran to hide inside the clothes hanger stand. I heard her voice closer and closer to me.
" Why do I have to see her here?" I whispered to myself.

I realized that I went to my neighborhood's local market. Aishh!! Then the cashier called me out and I said " Shhhh". She nodded and walked away.

I was waiting for my mom's voice to disappear. Finally, she disappeared and I got out carefully. I looked around to check if she's still there.
" she's gone," I said to myself and the cashier gave me the change.

I walked out of the shop and ran as fast as I could to escape from this place. Then I decided to leave.

When I arrived at the car parking lot, I hurried to get inside the car then drove off. I still wanted to buy more clothes but let me give myself a break.

After seeing my mom, I felt bad. I guess I miss her so much. I haven't seen her for months. I wonder how she's doing. I hope she's fine and my dad as well.

Suddenly tears rolled down on my cheek and I quickly wiped it away.
" Taehyung! You have to live your current life. Don't look back to what hurt you before. Let's be a better person." I said to myself and started to cry. " omma appa! Please wait for me. I'll go back as soon as I'm ready to be a grown adult."

I tried to calm myself down and concentrated on driving. I stopped at a cafe and went to have a drink.

*sigh* Have my parents ever thought of finding me since I suddenly disappeared? I guess not.
