23. Burglary

[Bora's POV]

It's break time. Soohyun Jake and I sat next to each other and talked about random things. We laughed and shared things.

" Anyways, Taehyung Oppa isn't here today?" Soohyun asked and I nodded.

" I think I can stay by myself and let him do what he wants to," I said simply and they nodded in agreement.

" To be honest, he doesn't look like your relative at all. I feel like his intention towards you is more than love as a brother." Jake was suspecting.

I was shocked in a place and didn't know what to say. Should I tell them the truth? Or should I not?

Soohyun looked at Jake then looked at me, " I suspect that too." they leaned towards me.

" OKAYY GUYS." I pushed their faces and sighed. " The truth is that Taehyung isn't my relative. He's just someone who just came into my life." I tried to explain who Taehyung was to me. " I'm sorry that I lied to you."

" Awww are you guys in love?" Soohyun teased and giggled.

" Aishhh nooo! There's a long story. Just know that we coincidentally met." I explained.

" But how?" Jake asked.

" ugh! I'll tell you when I'm ready, ok?" I tried to stop them and they shrugged at the same time.

" Alright! We respect you."

" let me be honest one more thing."

" OMGG! Let's be honest all the time." Soohyun rolled her eyes.

" Ummm... actually he is my bodyguard. But I never treat him like one. He's like my best friend who I can feel comfortable with, talk with and lean on." I said while thinking of TaeTae. " it sounds worse if I introduce him as my bodyguard."

They grasped, " You're right! He seems not just nobody to you. He must be someone who will always make you happy." Soohyun said and grinned.

" As I notice, he obviously likes you," Jake whispered and I widened my eyes.

" Yes! That's what I noticed too." Soohyun raised her voice. " Sometimes he's jealous of you. He takes good care of you and the way he looks at you, can explain everything." She said excitedly.

I looked away and was speechless. I was dazed but I thought Taehyung always treated me as his best friend and sister.

I turned to look at them and made a disgusted face, " What a nonsense! He just thinks of me as his friend, ok?" I convinced them not to think that far.

" How can you know? He must secretly like you." Soohyun muttered.

" We all don't know about his feeling. So we should stop assuming things." Jake said simply and walked back to his place.

" He's right." I awkwardly pointed to Jake who was already left to his seat, Soohyun glared at me and giggled.

" I will stop teasing you. You look like you wanna cry."

I touched my face and I was sweating. I didn't say anything back and just pretended to open the book to avoid the eye contact. Seconds later, a professor walked in, and classed started.

From minutes to minutes were too fast. It's already afternoon. It's lunchtime as well.

The three of us walked together to the canteen for lunch. We stood in a long line and waited patiently.

We waited quite long until our turn. Today's menu wasn't bad but none of my favorite food was there. I just got myself gimbap and hot soup.

Then I found a seat with my two friends. We prepared for lunch and started eating carefully.
