10. Shopping

[Taehyung's POV]

We headed to the mall. I parked the car and we went in the mall.

First, we went to the bookstore/study supplies store. Bora bought the supplies that were needed for her study. But she bought a lot. She bought each one 5 or 10. I carried the basket. It's heavy.

" Are you going to buy everything here?" I asked as I walked behind her.

She glared at me, " Why did you ask me this?"
I raised the basket that was full of her things, " Look! These are many of them!" I raised my voice.

" I'm lazy to come and buy again." She said as she was choosing pens.

I was speechless. That's good. After she took everything she needed, she paid for them. Then I carried all the bags.

" Where are you going next?" I asked as I walked behind her.

" I want to buy some clothes for my new chapter." She said excitedly. Attending university is her new chapter. Lol!

I didn't say anything and just followed her. We went in the clothes stores and she bought clothes in each stores. I couldn't stand seeing her spending too much money.

I stopped her, " Let's go home. You buy too many things here." I raised up all the bags that I carried. They're so heavy. My hands are almost broken.

She turned around, " Let's just buy another hoodie."

I rolled my eyes, " You buy many clothes already."
" how about shoes?"

I spares my hand and grabbed hers but she stopped.
" What are you doing?"

" Stop wasting money. Don't you know everyone works so hard for money?" I looked at her. " You shouldn't spend it like a paper!" I cursed, realizing it would make her upset.

She looked down and said nothing. I was scared that she would feel bad. " I'm sorry. I don't mean—."
" You're right." She cut me.

I looked at her shocked.
" Money isn't easy to have and I just spend it like a paper." She said in low voice.

I slowly released her hand, " I don't mean that you cannot spend but just spend it wisely."

Suddenly she looked at me with scary eyes. " I know. But it's my habit. I can't change it, Taehyung-ah." She pleaded. An excuse?

I nodded, " Just but whatever you want."
She grinned, " I'm going to buy shoes." She ran to the shoes store. Omg! I can't with her.

She tries many shoes on but seemed like she didn't like them. I put the bags down and walked towards her.

" Want me to help?" I smiled and placed my hands at the back.

She nodded lightly, " I don't see any shoes I like."

I looked over the shoes in the store. Then I found pink shoes with small teddy pin. Bora liked bear. I bet she likes it. I picked them up and called her. She looked over her shoulder and opened her eyes widely.

I walked towards her, " what do you think?" I asked.

She took the shoes from me and tried them on. I could see her big smile after wore them. " Omo!" She covered her mouth. " I love it." She grinned at me.

I looked at her proudly, " I have good sense." I winked and she rolled her eyes.

She paid and gave the bag to me to carry. Am I a machine? Can't you help me just carry a bag?

I couldn't walk properly. They're too heavy. My both hands were full of bags and I was hungry too.

" Bora?" I called her. " Hmm?" She replied without looking at me.
" I'm hungry." I whined.

She looked at me confused, " Am I your mother?"
" You can say that because I don't have money. So mom should buy her child food." I made puppy eyes.

" Yah! Are you insane?" She sneered.
" Jebal? I'm so hungry. And I've been carrying your things along." I pouted.

She looked at me for a moment. Then she looked away and nodded.
" Wait for me here! I will buy you something." She said and headed away.

I found an empty seat. I placed the bags on the floor and sat on the bench comfortably.

Later, she came back and I sat straight with the big smile. She handed me a bottle of water. " Drink some water. It will help your hunger." She smiled and I looked at her unexpectedly.

" Seriously?" I was shocked.
She nodded, " Water can help. If you don't believe me, try it." She handed the water.

I took it and felt unbelievable. " I want food not water." I frowned.

" You told me to use money wisely. So we're about to go home. We can have dinner at home." She explained. This girl gets on my nerve.

" You're mean!" I yelled at her and took the bags up.
I walked away and she followed. "Did you just yell at me?" She crossed her arms.

I didn't care and just walked to the car.

We arrived home. Bora went out of the car and walked straight to the house. Doesn't she see there's many bags? I sighed and carried all the bags.

We walked in the house. Ahjuma came and helped me. We're about to go to Bora's room, suddenly Mr. Choi called Bora. We all stopped and looked at him.

" Can we have a talk?" He said in cool voice.

Bora was nervous. She walked to him. " Yes, appa." She was shaking.

He turned around and his back faced Bora, " Where have you been?"

" I went to university and did an application." She said nervously.

Ahjuma and I stood still and looked at them.
" Did you already pay?"

She nodded, " Yes, appa."

He turned to look at her, " Why don't you tell me?"

She looked at him, " Umm... I want to surprise you." She said in low voice.

" Surprise?!" He exclaimed and she was startled.

" Honey! What are you doing?" Mrs. Choi came and hugged Bora.

" She did everything without us knowing!!" He yelled. Oh no!

" Am I wrong again?" Bora gulped.

" what?"

" Am I wrong again?!!" She raised her voice and cried.

Her dad grabbed her both shoulders, " You know what? You drive me crazy." He paused. " You make me feel so happy." Suddenly he hugged her tightly. Unexpected!

He patted her back softly, " I'm proud of you, my daughter. You've grown up." He smiled proudly.

I looked at ahjuma unexpectedly and she smiled.

" Appa...." she started to cry.
" Aigoo my baby." Her mom hugged her at the back.

The three of them were hugging each other tightly. I'm so happy for them. I wish my parents would do that to me too.  When I thought about my parents, tear was rolling down. I wiped it and walked to Bora's room.

I placed all the bags on the ground. Later Ahjama came.
