Whatever it takes

Chapter 10

A three-year-old Izuku was playing with Izumi at a park when a stray dog started to come towards them.

Izumi was scared of dogs, and she began to cry. Izuku, who wasn't faring much better, stood in front of her as if shielding her.

The dog started to bark at them, but Izuku didn't even faze.

"Don't worry Izumi, I will always protect you," said Izuku.

She didn't know that even though she might forget these words, Izuku will never.

She waited for the attack to connect, but it never came. She felt hug her and then she was being pushed back several meters, with the person still hugging her. What did come was the gasps and cries of her classmates. She opened her eyes to see Izuku hugging her, with blood coming out of his mouth and nose

"Don't worry Izumi, I will always protect you," he said with a smile, and then fainted with Excalibur in his hands.

Izumi took a second to register. But when she did, she felt nothing but gratitude and guilt.

"IZUKU!" she yelled in agony and sadness. The punch had created shockwaves, and the armor which was a part of Izuku's hero costume was shattered. There was a large purple bruise on his back.

At that moment, All Might entered.

"Look who is here, the symbol of peace," said Shigaraki with glee.

All Might saw a crying Ochako, a wide-eyed Bakugo, a close-to-tear Shoto, and a crying Izumi kneeling near a knocked out and severely injured Izuku.

For the first time, All Might wasn't smiling in front of others.

"Izuku..." he muttered.

"All Might!" gasped the conscious villains, fearfully.

"Ahm, look who decided to join us. Where is your smile All Might?" asked Shigaraki mockingly.

All Might knocked every conscious villain unconscious before they could do anything.

"A little too careful, huh? Doesn't matter, if you had been a little more careful, this wouldn't have even happened," said Shigaraki pointing towards Izuku.

"Everything is fine," said All Might.

"Nomu, Kurogiri, finish All Might, while I take care of the kids," said Shigaraki.

All Might used his super-speed to grab every student who was near them and took them to a safe place while punching Shigaraki.

"He is fast. To rescue them while punching me," said Shigaraki.

All Might then rushed and suplexed the Nomu. But at the last moment, Kurogiri opened a portal, so that the head of the Nomu came under his waist and grabbed him where the injury from the battle six years ago was, causing him to bleed.

He let go of his waist and tried to break himself free from the Nomu's grip, but it was ineffective.

Before anyone could do anything, Bakugo came and grabbed the metal part of Kurogiri, and Todoroki froze half of the Nomu, stopping just before the ice reached All Might.

"He is frozen," muttered All Might as he broke free from the Nomu's grip.

Bakugo then went on to explain what he had seen and how he deduced that Kurogiri wasn't completely gas.

"The symbol of peace cannot be defeated by the likes of you," said Todoroki.

"All Might, you have gotten weaker, as the rumors said. This Nomu was built to take you on at your 100%," said Shigaraki with a mad look and a wicked smile.
