Whatever it takes

Chapter 24

Shinso and Kaminari were walking towards the waiting room, where they found Izuku sitting and rocking his chair.

"Shinso, nice match," said Izuku.

"Thanks," he replied.

"And you too Kaminari. Sorry, I missed the last part, so who won?" 

"Kaminari," replied Shinso.

"So if I win I go against him. Nice, be ready Kaminari kun," said Izuku as he walked out.

"Damn he got that aura of power," said Kaminari.

"Yeah, when he is serious there's no stopping him," replied Shinso with a chuckle.

"Well, let's go, I don't think making my girlfriend wait is a good idea," said Kaminari.

"Oh so you got a girlfriend now, huh?" he asked with a smirk.

"Yep. And mind you, she's mine," said a glaring Kaminari, baring his teeth at Shinso.

"Damn, I was just joking, and I didn't even say I was gonna steal her. And they say I am intense," said Shinso in his defense, raising his palms.

"Yeah yeah, i-it's just I love her too much and I don't wanna lose her," said Kaminari.

"Okay. I got your back," said Shinso.

"And I just got another friend," said Kaminari.

"I am your friend?" asked Shinso with a raised eyebrow.

"Yes."

"Do I have a choice?" he asked with a small smile.

Kaminari put his hand around his neck and pulled him down.

"Nope," he said with a grin.

Shinso just kept smiling, except it wasn't a taunting one or the confident ones he had during battle, it was a true smile.

Izuku and Iida were standing opposite each other, ready for the match.

"Yagi kun, I hope you go all out against me," said Iida.

"I will, and I hope you will too," said Izuku as he took a fighting stance.

"Battle begin," announced Midnight, and Izuku and Iida shot at each other.

The match went on for five minutes with both of them trying to land a hit on each other, but they were just too fast for each other.

"What did we miss?" asked Kaminari with a sandwich in his hand and a bag in another.

He then handed all of them something to eat, as he and Shinso had gone to buy something because they both were hungry.

"Not even one hit has been landed, this is interesting," said Jirou.

"Damn, Izuku is trying his best," said Shinso.

"Yeah, they're fast. However Yagi isn't using his full speed," said Kaminari.

As he said this, Izuku picked up even more pace and kicked Iida who blocked it at the last second.

"Trying to catch me off guard? Well, it won't be that easy," said Iida with a smile.

"I know, but I had to try," said Izuku. He then went in to punch him but Iida grabbed his fist, pushed him towards the right, and kicked him on the back using Recipro burst.

Izuku was sent sliding near the end of the arena, with his shirt singed.

"Great, another shirt gone," he said as he got up and massaged his ribs from behind.
