Whatever it takes

Chapter 35

Izuku and the others were currently in hospital. Izuku, Iida, Tokoyami, Izumi, and Shoto were in one room, as the chief of police entered.

Izuku had fractured a leg due to debris falling and was taken to hospital. But by now he was 80% healed due to the effect of Excalibur. Tokoyami had hit his head while flying to catch a boy falling from a building. Iida and Izumi were injured due to the Hero Killer and Shoto was in the hospital as he fainted after overusing his quirk.

Kaminari was completely fine, so after meeting them for a few minutes with Steve, he left.

"Hello, I am Hosu's Chief of Police, Kenji Tsuragamae," greeted a person who looked like a dog.

They all greeted him.

"So as you know, quirk usage on a person is illegal and three of you battled Stain," he said.

"Did you expect us to leave Native there to die?" asked Iida.

"No. however, you are not allowed to use your quirk without a license on someone else. So you all broke the law," he said.

"NOW LISTEN HERE. IF YOU'RE SAYING THAT WE SHOULD HAVE LEFT HIM THERE TO DIE, THEN HOW CAN YOU CALL YOURSELF A POLICE OFFICER!" said Shoto angrily, as Izuku and Iida tried to calm him down.

"As I was saying, you all broke some laws. However, there is no footage of you directly using your quirk to fight, and even Hero Killer accepted that you three tried to save the hero without fighting him. So the credit to defeat Hero Killer will be solely given to Izuku Yagi," said the Chief.

"I know this will be unfair to you three, and I thank you for doing your best and saving so many lives," he said as he bowed.

"Please start with that next time, and sorry for yelling," said Shoto.

He just nodded and exited.

"You both siblings never know how to stay out of trouble do you?" asked Gran Torino as he entered.

The said twins just scratched their heads sheepishly.

"Izuku, how do you know him?" asked Shoto and Iida.

"Oh, he was friends with dad and Steve's teachers. he and Steve have more like grandfather grandson relationship," said Izuku.

"I TOLD YOU I AM NOT OLD ENOUGH TO BE A GRANDFATHER!" yelled Gran Torino as he kicked him in the face.

"Ouch!" said Izuku nursing his face.

"Anyways, I am out," he said.

"So... chicken nuggets?" came a voice. 

They all turned to see Hawks sitting on the window sill with a big bucket of chicken nuggets.

"When did you get here?" asked Izuku and Tokoyami together.

"Oh when Todoroki was yelling at the police chief," said Hawks.

"Guys, I need to go for a moment," said Izuku as he went outside.

The break had just started and Ochako had gone to drink water when her phone buzzed. The previous day, she had been extremely worried about Izuku as she watched his and Stain's fight. She was anxious that he went to evacuate the city immediately after that, and the part where Nomus had attacked was a complete wreck.

That is why she was ecstatic when Izuku called. But first, she had to put on a stern face. So she picked up the call.

"Hey Ochako," greeted Izuku.

"IZUKU YAGI," she said in a stern tone.

"Oh boy I am in trouble," muttered Izuku over the phone.

"YOU RECKLESS IDIOT SEXY SON OF A BITCH!" she yelled, in complete anger accidentally slipping out 'sexy.'

Now Izuku wanted to just die happily that Ochako had called him sexy, but he had one thing that had been bugging him.

"S-sorry," he said.

"DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I WAS WORRIED?" she asked.

"Ochako, listen. We both are trying to become heroes. I know what I did yesterday was reckless. But I had to do it. Hawks had to go as the Nomu too had attacked the city. We were severely short of heroes. Plus I knew I was going to win," said Izuku.

"Why is that?" asked Ochako, a little calmly.

"W-when I reached and saw that Stain was about to finish off Shoto, I was scared. I was scared to say goodbye so soon. There were so many things we had to do together, so many things I wanted to tell him. I realized that we don't know what is going to happen, there are so many things that I need to tell others, so many things I need to do. I don't want to live without regret, but I certainly want to die without regrets. So I can't die now," said Izuku. 

Ochako was a little overwhelmed by the whole speech.

"How are the others?" asked Ochako.

"They're fine. I got a fractured leg due to some debris falling on it, but everything's fine now," said Izuku.

By now, Gunhead was behind Ochako.

"Hey Uraraka, the break is about to be over, wrap up whate- is it a boyfriend?" asked Gunhead as soon as he saw her on the phone.

"N-no, it isn't like that," she said nervously.

"Yes, you could say that," said Izuku over the phone.

"Huh?" said Ochako, confused and flustered.

"Oooh, I will leave you both to it. Just return in 10," said Gunhead as he went back.

"Hey, so I told you about many unsaid things, right? Well, we don't know what will happen in the future, so I just don't want to leave this thing unsaid. I like you Ochako. Scratch that, I love you. I don't care if you don't like me back," said Izuku.

"But I do. I love you too. You have saved my life, you have inspired me so many times, I am completely in love with you," she said with tears welling in her eyes. She could hear sniffing from the other side.

"T-thank you Ochako. You don't know how much it means to me. So, will you be my girlfriend?" asked Izuku.

"Of course, who would scold you on doing reckless things otherwise?" asked Ochako.

"Thank you," said Izuku, totally ecstatic.

Izuku returned to the room with a large blush on his face and a shit-eating grin.

"What happened?" asked Shoto, already knowing the answer.

"I asked Ochako out," was Izuku's answer.

"Wow, in the middle of internship too. This is gonna be awkward when you both meet," said Izumi, and Izuku's eyes widened.

"Oh shit, didn't think of it."

Hello everyone so finally I completed the movie chap. It was really long, but worth it. That chapter is set at the beginning of the summer vacation and follows the I-island story.
