"What?" said Kota, caught off guard.
"Who did you lose?" repeated Izuku once again.
"I-it's not your business," said Kota as his eyes started to water.
Izuku walked up to him and bent to his eye level.
"Damn right, it isn't," said Izuku as he put his left hand on Kota's shoulder.
"So, who?" asked Izuku in a voice so calming and soothing that Kota just gave in.
"MY PARENTS! THEY ABANDONED ME TO FIGHT SOME SHITTY VILLAIN. HEROES AND VILLAINS JUST GO ON KILLING EACH OTHER AND CALLING EACH OTHER STUPID NAMES. THEY JUST TALK ABOUT DEFEATING EACH OTHER AND IMPROVING QUIRKS. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT SHOWOFFS!" yelled Kota venting out all that was bottled up inside him for the past four years since his parents died.
"..."
"You all are stupid to try to become a hero," said Kota.
"A person who risks his life to save countless others is a hero. It's not about quirks, killing, or defeating. A hero fights to protect," said Izuku.
"THEY LEFT ME!" yelled Kota.
"No, they didn't. Your parents, they must be great heroes. They didn't leave you, they died so you, and countless others like you could have a brighter future," said Izuku.
"Y-you're lying," said Kota.
"Answer me, do you think your parents loved you?" asked Izuku.
"Y-yes."
"Then they'll never be really gone," said Izuku with a smile.
For a few moments, everyone was quiet.
"You know, come with me," said Izuku as he turned away from him to let him climb his back.
"Where?" asked Kota.
"To have some fun," said Izuku.
Kota reluctantly climbed on his back.
"Ragdoll san, could you please tell my classmates that I will come back soon if they're looking for me?" asked Izuku.
"Yes, but where are you taking him?" she asked.
"Just a ride," said Izuku as he jumped into the air.
"AAAH!" yelled Kota as he grabbed onto his back.
Izuku then proceeded to climb the mountain at high speed and soon they were at the top.
"Kota," said Izuku as he sat looking over the stretch of land and the forest.
"I-I never came this high," said Kota in awe as he could see even farther than his secret spot.
"How high did you come before?" asked Izuku and Kota pointed to his secret spot.
"There," said Kota.
"Hop on," said Izuku as he once again bent down.
After Kota climbed his back, Izuku jumped towards Kota's secret spot.
"How is the view?" yelled Izuku mid-jump.
"Awesome..." said Kota.
Soon they landed and Izuku let him down.
"Did you like it?" asked Izuku.
Kota just nodded begrudgingly.
"So Kota, tell me. You know that because of someone, a child is going to lose his parents just like you did. Someone else will go through the same pain as you just because of this one person. What will you do?" asked Izuku.
