Whatever it takes

Chapter 8

A 4-year-old Izuku was playing with Bakugo along with other kids, pretending to be a part of Bakugo's agency, when all of a sudden he fell into a small stream.

"Bakugo, are you okay?" asked a kid.

"What are you asking, he is Bakugo, of course, he is alright."

Bakugo had injured his knee, but after hearing those words, he pretended that nothing had happened.

But then Izuku approached him.

"Kacchan, are you okay? It would be bad if you hit your head," said Izuku as he offered his hand to him.

Bakugo was talking to Izumi when the sludge monster had taken him hostage.

"You would make a nice skin suit for me kid. With that awesome quirk, even All Might won't be able to defeat us," said the monster with an evil grin.

"DIE!" yelled Bakugo as he created many explosions, trying to shake him off, but it didn't do anything.

'Why isn't the heroes doing anything?' thought Bakugo.

"My quirk isn't suitable for this!" yelled Death Arm.

"I am busy with the fire," yelled Backdraft.

"I can't get in, my wood will easily get burned," yelled Kamui Woods.

"Two lanes, my only weakness," yelled Mt. Lady.

'Bitch please, you could just reduce your size. But Izumi, is she alright?' thought Bakugo.

Bakugo had accepted the fact that he was gonna die when he saw Izuku running towards them.

'Deku! What are you doing? You are going to die," thought bakugo.

Izuku then blew away the sludge monster with one hit.

A few moments later, he was being praised by the heroes, while Izuku was being scolded.

'What did I do? I would have died if Izuku didn't come. Why are they praising me? Why is he being scolded? He is the one who saved me when these assholes were just yelling excuses.  Why do similar things happen everywhere? In school, in his house, everywhere. Is this how I am with him? Why? Shouldn't a hero always encourage others? Shouldn't a hero always win? Izuku won, then why is he being scolded? Is that how Quirkless are treated? How can they call themselves heroes?' thought Bakugo.

There were a million questions in his mind that day.

"Why? Why did you become a hero while I became the opposite of it? Why didn't you ever say anything back? Why did you listen to me and tolerated it? WHY DID YOU SAVE ME! I was weak, I got captured by that sludge villain, because of me Izumi was hurt. Why did you save someone who hurt you for years?" asked Bakugo tearfully.

"..."

"I told you to jump off the roof. You were going to do it. yet you save me. Why are you so heroic while I am just an egoistic little asshole?" he cried.

'Is he carrying so much guilt from the past year and a half?' thought Izuku.

"You always worried about everyone, you always helped them, you always kept that stupid book, while I just bullied everyone. Why am I like this?" he asked, crying hard. They were both fighting and talking. Izuku was enhancing his power with his Chi, while Bakugo was using explosions to propel himself.
