"They're not mine."

You could barely describe the feeling that you felt in that moment. If Alicia was right, and Draco Malfoy knew about you and Snape, then he'd surely tell his father and you'd be in the deathly grip of The Ministry of Magic. This was exactly the thing you didn't want to happen.

While in a mad sprint to The Great Hall you wondered how Draco could have possibly known. You weren't friends with him by any means, so you surely hadn't told him directly. He wasn't ever around you on a regular basis, so he definitely hadn't overheard you. The only thing you could come up with was that night at the Halloween Dance when you accidentally ran into him and he gave you hell for getting him in trouble with Snape.

Draco was notoriously disrespectful to anyone who wasn't a pureblood or right in his circle of friends. That even included students who were several years older than him and could definitely take him in a fight. That boy seemingly held no fear for anybody. You had broken up scuffles between him, Potter, and Ron Weasley plenty of times and reported them to Snape, so it was no wonder that Malfoy had a vendetta against you. You felt a little pathetic having this kind of grudge with a 13 year old, but he had definitely started it.

For a few split seconds before entering The Great Hall, you had a sliver of hope that he didn't have any real proof. He hadn't seen or heard anything, so he surely didn't have any evidence in his favor. Or, at least, that's what you thought.

The Great Hall was as noisy as ever when you finally made your way inside. The House tables were crowded as usual, but there was an odd cluster around the middle of the Slytherin table. You spotted the devilish, blonde-headed boy with his signature snarly smirk. What was he up to? With Alicia by your side, you casually strolled in to keep from drawing any more attention to whatever Draco was doing.

You figured the best thing to do would be to ignore him. You could simply sit and not acknowledge him in any way. Draco, however, was going to go above and beyond to get your attention.

"Well, if it isn't Professor Snape's personal lackey." He sneered from where he was sitting at the table.

Crabbe and Goyle were seated on either side of him, snickering quietly. You saw Snape take a seat at his usual chair on the other side of the room at the teachers' table out of the corner of your eye. You didn't dare look at him fully.

Everyone close by Draco seemed to have their eyes transfixed on something that Draco had in his hand. You couldn't quite see it from where you stood. You leaned and whispered to Alicia.

"What are they staring at?" You asked.

A faint, pink tinge appeared on her face as she posed a question of her own.

"[Y/N], uh, when you and Snape...that night of the Halloween dance, did you accidentally leave something behind?"

Before you had a chance to ask her what she meant, Draco's voice rang out again.

"Looking for these, [L/N]?" He hummed.

He held his hand up high in the air, and your head immediately started spinning. If Alicia hadn't been next to you, you were sure you would've fainted right then and there. Draco's sudden motion had caught the attention of even more students now. If you hadn't been the center of this situation, you would've bursted into laughter at the sight of Cedric Diggory's expression.

In Draco's hand were the panties you had left behind in Snape's room that night.

You had assumed that Severus would find them and hold on to them until he could get them back to you. They must've gotten lost somewhere in the classroom and Draco unfortunately was the lucky finder. This was definitely proof that someone...a woman...had been in his classroom and left behind an article of clothing that had to have been removed at some point. Everyone knew you were in close contact with Snape, so you'd be the first one to be pointed at. You wondered how long ago Draco had found them.
