"Are you saying that there's more?"

The sizzling sounds coming from Severus' stove were just as great as the smells coming from whatever he had cooking. He was standing with his back towards you as you were laid up his bed, watching his every movement.

You were laying in a mermaid position on his mattress, head leaning on your hand and sheets draped over your bare skin.

"What are you making, Sev?" You called outside.

"You're not one for surprises, are you?" He questioned.

You snorted at that and went to give a snarky remark, but stopped yourself. You had been given PLENTY of surprises since beginning your sixth year. You preferred to know as much as possible now. You didn't respond, so Severus went on.

"I remember when you were in the hospital that you liked the mornings where either I or Poppy brought you pancakes," He stated; "So, I supposed I could make an attempt at making them."

Your belly grumbled at the knowledge of being fed your favorite breakfast. It was moments like this where it was so hard to stay mad at him. He had just pleased you in more than one way, and now he had you snuggled up in his bed and was making you breakfast. And the fact that he remembered something you liked and was trying to recreate it? How could you be unhappy with that?

Still, you had a lot to talk about.

"I had no idea you were such a culinary master." You replied, thinking about all the delicious meals he had made you over the last several months.

Severus chuckled, and even though you couldn't see it, he was smiling.

"I don't know about master, but I have spent some time practicing my skills." He admitted.

He flipped the final pancake onto the large stack, eyeing the tower of fluffy goodness. He turned the burner off, and turned around with the plates in one hand and a bottle of syrup in the other. He balanced a bowl of assorted fruit in the crook of his elbow, exiting the kitchen area

You sat up to get out of bed to get dressed and sit at the table, but Severus stopped you.

"Ah. Stay in bed, love." He said, setting everything down on his thick duvet.

"Breakfast in bed?" You questioned.

"I believe I worked you a little hard earlier. You need to rest properly." He purred.

You raised a brow, pulling the sheet a bit tighter around your naked body.

"Oh, really? Do you think I can't handle you?"

He shrugged with amusement, sitting at the foot of the bed with the spread in between you.

"You have thus far." He claimed.

Your jaw fell open and you squinted at him in curiosity.

"Are you saying that there's more?" You queried.

He only gave you a cheeky grin, before handing you a plate. The pancakes smelled heavenly and made your mouth water in anticipation. Their taste was a million times better than the smell, your eyes rolling back in delight.

It was quiet for a few minutes as the two of you filled your stomachs with food, but there was a tension in the air. It wasn't unbearable, but it wasn't exactly comfortable either.

You decided to break the ice, but acknowledge something you hadn't had a chance to yet.

"So...girlfriend, huh?" You called out, eager to see his reaction.
