Chapter 40: Enticing Thoughts

"You've already found it. That's nothing to be scared of."

"Hold on. Back up," Alicia instructed through bites of her Cauldron Cake; "He did WHAT and WHERE?"

A few days had passed since things had been resolved with Severus, so you were taking some well needed catch up time with Alicia. She had been patiently itching to hear about everything that had happened that she dedicated her entire Friday night to hang out with you. The two of you were hanging out until Severus got out of his professors' meeting.The weekend was being greeted with open arms and eagerness since you had such a draining week. The two of you were settled on your small bed in your dorm, just girl talking and sharing details that you would never have said out loud if your roommates were around.

A laugh bubbled out of your chest at your best friend's widened eyes at what you had just professed to her.

"I told you that already." You remarked, sipping pumpkin juice from your small cup.

Alicia made an incredulous face at the fact that you were so casual about this. She finished off the last of her cake with a squeal of a hum.

"Well, yeah. But you didn't tell me that he banged you against a WINDOW. With the curtains OPEN." Alicia enunciated.

"I just assumed that you knew what I meant." You shrugged, grinning at her from over the rim of your cup.

Alicia's eyes narrowed as she swallowed, the angle of her cocked head alerting you that she wasn't believing what she was hearing.

"You just assumed that- [Y/N], I think you've gone mad," She announced; "Is this normal to you?"

"I mean...kind of. It didn't really strike me as out of the ordinary. A little risky maybe, but not really odd." You admitted.

Alicia's jaw fell open and she shifted to lay on her stomach with her feet up in the air to get comfortable.

"A little risky?! He fucked you in front of a window that is open to the outside world. Where anyone from a first year wizard to Headmaster Dumbledore could have very well seen at any time and you have the guts to say it was 'a little risky'?" She clamored; "You are so much dirtier than I thought."

The two of you fell into rounds of laughter. You hadn't even really thought about how extra that whole encounter had really been.

"You act like you and Oliver haven't done worse." You proclaimed.

Alicia snorted.

"Yeah, but we've never done that! That's a whole new level," She sighed out when her giggles subsided; "So you had sex after he took you from Lupin's office. What happened after that?"

Your heart did a bit of a twitch at the memory of the conversation that came afterwards. Your demeanor softened as the conversation continued.

"He made us breakfast...and then we talked about Lily." You explained while setting your cup aside for later.

Alicia leaned forward on her elbows, completely wrapped up in your story.

"He told me that he didn't tell me about her before because he didn't want to lose a chance at us being together." You retold her.

"Told you so." Alicia grinned.

You chuckled softly. It was true that Alicia had indeed told you that was his reasoning. Alicia always seemed to be right.
