(𝗬/𝗡) 𝗣𝗢𝗩

I was sitting in the back of the car playing games on my phone while waiting for Reki. 'Why is he always so late?... I mean we have been waiting for him already for 20 minutes. At this rate, we will miss the competition. But not like it's something new.', I thought as I checked the time on my phone. As I finally hear the sound of a swift skateboard halt to a stop from outside of the car, I knew right away who it was. The little fox jumped from the front seat on my lap and the door swings open by Reki.

𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗢𝗩

"You're late, Reki." : said the man in the front seat. Reki puts his seatbelt on while he apologizes. As the car started (Y/N) immediately started screaming at Reki, "Where were you?! We will be twenty minutes late at this point ". Reki looked at (Y/N) with his puppy dog eyes and said: "I'm so sorry it's just that I um-... lost the track of the time ?".

" Whatever" is the only thing (Y/N) is able to answer, after her response, Reki immediately replied with "Are you mad at me?".

She looked at him with an irritated look and said "of course not" and looked out of the window while she was petting the fennec fox on its head. Reki sighed and looked at the road.

{Time Skip}

As the car got inside the gates. Both (Y/N) and Reki were looking outside with stunned looks on their faces. They have seen this place many times but they could never get over it. Many people gathered there every day for only one thing, and that is skateboarding. As the man in the front seat who was driving honked twice at the people who almost got run over by the car.

"Jeez, that was dangerous," said the man driving, Reki on the other hand just responded with "It's all hyped up as usually tonight". As the group got out of the car, they went to the starting line where SHADOW was already waiting for Reki.

" I thought you made run for it," said Shadow, he was wearing his regular dark costume with a black cloak and his signature makeup on his face. As Reki skateboarded to him he said: "I'm gonna have you take that back the fact that you dissed my skating, Shadow!". The moment Reki said that the crowd of people started yelling and saying different things like"Shadow and Reki are at it!", "show some backbone!".

Both Reki and Shadow got on the start of the line. (Y/N) was looking at Reki as she said: "Keep your calm, and please be safe Reki", she said worried yet her aura quickly changed to confidence and faith. The man next to (Y/N) was also hoping that Reki will be alright. As the traffic lights started to turn on one after another, the women under the lights started to move the flag that she was holding, that meant that they could start, as both Reki and Shadow started to move on their skateboards Shadow was ahead of Reki.

They went further on, quickly arriving at the first turn to the left which they both skated through without falling. Right after that, there was a swift turn to the right which again they both skateboarded past perfectly. "Hey! You're never gonna catch up to me like that" said Shadow after seeing that Reki was behind him. As there were many turns to different directions Shadow turned to Reki and said: "C'mon, bring it, why don't ya?". Which pissed Reki off because Shadow thought nothing of Reki. However, Reki was slowly catching up to Shadow. Reki used one turn to the right, to his advantage, where he got in front of Shadow.

Shadow took in his hand five small bombs as he yelled"Haemanthus Bomb!" and threw them under Rekis skateboard. As the bombs started to explode under Rekis skateboard it made him lose his balance and fall off.

From the big screen that was showing what was happening (Y/N) saw how Reki had fallen off the road to the bushes. (Y/N) and the man next to her both sighted when they saw what was happening. "I hope he will be alright"(Y/N) said out loud.
