Chapter 33
There were no words to describe how I felt. No earthly word could justify how complete I had felt.
At the pinnacle, I had begun to see stars. That was why I didn’t feel it when he bit me…. Right where the shoulder gracefully joined with the neck. But I could see the mark now as I stood in front of the locker room’s many mirrors.
“What the…?” I stopped, touching the mark lightly with my fingertips.
I’m sorry.
I screamed in surprise. That wasn’t my own thought. “Nate?” I panted, “Did you say something?” I tensed up when I heard the voice again. Don’t scream, please? “Why not?” I countered, slightly freaked out.
I heard a sigh from behind me, and I turned to see Nate, fully dressed once more. I’m not afraid to admit that I preferred him without clothing. As soon as I thought it, a chuckle could be heard from the back of my head…. And it wasn’t Silver.
“Oh no.” I groaned, “Telepathy too? Really?”
“Sorry, Luna.” Nate looked sheepish, yet in the depths of his eyes I could tell he wasn’t that sorry. “I know I should have told you, but I….”
“Forgot?” I tried not to laugh at his guilty look and instead walked up to him. “I forgive you.” I murmured. I sighed as I heard him once again in my thoughts, asking if I wanted him to explain. I stopped his offer and instead asked, “Am I supposed to imagine a wall so you can’t hear my thoughts?”
He laughed, “Pretty much. You caught on pretty easily.”
“Well, we don’t have much time for you to fully explain…. And I may or may not have researched it….” I blushed.
“You know almost everything on the internet is untrue, right?”
I shrugged, “Not really. Some people are frighteningly close. Anyway, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t it part of the mating process? If so, doesn’t that mean that we are fully mated?”
“Yeah.” Nate said shortly, caught off guard. He was silent for a second, and then he laughed. “Now I don’t have to explain!”
“Well, I think I may have questions later.” I admitted, “But right now we have to get out before we are missed.”
Nate smirked, not censoring his thoughts and saying: I bet they all know what we’ve been up to.
“What?!” I squeaked, unable to imagine the entire student body knowing what had just taken place.
His eyes widened, “Shi—” He stopped himself when I gave him that look.
I raised my eyebrow at him, “Well, now I guess you can’t lie to me.” I smirked, “This’ll be fun.”

“Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! No way!” Harmony jumped up and down like she was a type of kangaroo; maybe a wallaby of some sort. “Oh my god! Oh my god! Luna! Luna! Luna! I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!”
“Be quiet, Harmony!” I ducked my head down even though we were alone, “I haven’t even told you yet!”
Harmony stopped, “You didn’t have to.” Then she broke into another smile and started squealing again. I had to cover my ears at the high-pitched noise.
“Calm down, Harmony!” I tackled her and covered her mouth with my hands. “Do you want everyone to hear?!”
Harmony rolled her eyes, “Memerymum mowz”
