Chapter 40
“Take me back!” I bawled, not letting go of Emma’s ankle. “I have to see him! I have to see him!” I started screaming every time she tried to move away, and she would quickly quiet me down by moving back.
“I’m sorry.” Emma was torn, “My visions can only be done four times a day!”
“Just one more!” I pleaded, “You have three to spare! Just one more!”
“No,” Emma tried to make me understand, “I only have one more. I used up two of them before for the Queen, so don’t be selfish, Luna! Why don’t you let Caleb see his mate?”
“I didn’t get to see mine!” I blubbered, “Just as I was about to, you took me back here! Please, oh please, let me see him!”
“Tomorrow.” Emma shushed me, “Now stop rolling around on the floor, Luna! You’re an Alpha!”
I sniffed, and then realized how right she was. “Tomorrow?” I sniffed again, looking up at this girl who almost made my world today.
“Tomorrow.” She promised, “Now let Caleb see.”

Tomorrow wouldn’t come soon enough. If I had had a clock, I would no doubt have been checking it every two seconds. If there was a window, I would no doubt have been checking the sun’s position every two seconds. If there was a—gah! Let’s face it, there is nothing to tell me when tomorrow will come.
“She can’t be lying, can she?” I wondered out loud over and over, “She will come tomorrow—or is it today, now?”
Caleb was as uncertain and restless as I. “She better not be lying.”
“I want to see him, now, Caleb!” I cried for the umpteenth time.
He didn’t say anything.
“Well!” My pregnancy hormones were kicking in, and I was offended by his lack of response. “What now, Caleb? You don’t care that I missed my chance at seeing him while you were off with your stupid girlfriend?!” I growled lowly, my anger boiling at the surface.
Caleb gave me a look, and it only irritated me more. “That’s your friend you’re talking about.” He said casually.
I scowled at him, and as of now, I was on a mission to push someone’s buttons. “Yeah, and she’s your little piece of f-ing sunshine.” I snapped at him, crossing my arms defiantly over my naked chest.
I could hear the rumbling growls emitting from Caleb, “Stop it.”
“Well,” I said in a snippy tone, ignoring his warnings. “if she was really sunshine, she would be able to tell what time in the god-dang day it is!” A growl erupted from my own throat.
He pointedly looked away from me, “I think these cells were meant to be without windows.” He growled, “And just so you know, Luna, I don’t think it’s going to matter soon. One of these days, it’ll be your last chance to speak”
“Never!” I snapped right back, even though I knew he hadn’t been looking for answer. “I’ll never betray my pack!”
“If you truly cannot lie, Luna,” He glanced back at me for a moment, “It won’t be long.”
Never. I shuddered, Never.
“Everything happens for a reason, Madam Alpha.” He didn’t use my name, “I know that now, and sooner or later, you’ll give in.”
“No!” I snapped, “I won’t give in!”
“You will, Luna.” He sighed. “It’s meant to be.”
Meant to be… I paled. “No.” I denied, shaking my head, “Nothing is going to happen…” I shook my head again, “I won’t give in… never! Never will I ever!” I started to panic, and my vision grew fuzzy. The room was starting to spin, and I clutched my head with my hands and gritted my teeth. “No! No I won’t, Caleb!” I was starting to tremble, “You’ll see! I’ll beat the odds,” I gulped, “It… it won’t be meant to be!” I forced it through my lips, barely catching Caleb’s concerned look before I fell.

Here it is! Sorry it took a while, I was working on a project with my friend at her house today. Anyway, I decided I'll make this a one-part story. Not two parts.... so yeah.
Happy V-Day in four days! :D
