Queen Isabella missed him. She missed Charles Valois.
They met and were betrothed at the age of 7. When they first met, he had insulted her and said that she looked like a squirrel. And she kindly responded by punching him in the arm, that day started a beautiful friendship. They both knew they were to be wed in the future, and surprisingly enough, they both did not mind.
