Chapter 19 The Diner

"Hello welcome to Mama Dees diner what would you like to order."
"I would like to order a drink for now." Owen responded
"Ok so that will that be for the whole group?"
"Yes." Owen ordered the table all there drinks and they all waited for the waitress to come back exchanging conversations to kill time.

"When did you find out she was your step sister?" Marty asked
"My dad cheated on my mom before I was born and they recently showed up.. so my dad got kicked out and she lives with us now." The guys were shocked.
"Shit Z I'm so sorry." Owen replied placing his hand on hers
The guys were a bit sceptical again because they never called her Z ever. Really only Leo and Zayn were though, Marty was focussed on Angel
"Z?" Leo whispered to Zayns as Zayn shrugged his shoulders in question.

The drinks finally came.
"Anyways Zara I'm so sorry about what happened." Leo stated sipping his sprite.
"It's all cool you know I'll get through it." She uttered while Owen wrapped his arm around shoulders and sipped his drink.
She wasn't fazed by it she just kept drinking.
She turned over to Angel.
"Are you going to talk to them Angel?" She whispered in her ear causing Owen hand to move off her shoulders.
"No." She whispered silently so only Zara can hear.
"Why not?"
"Because.." Angel replied and Zara rolled her eyes and kicked Martys leg signalling him to make conversation with Angel.

"Hey Angel I'm Marty. That's Zayn, Leo and Owen." He rambled friendly holding out his hand for her to shake it.
Angel looked at Zara and she nodded her head in a way that made Angel feel safe for her to shake his hand. Growing up she didn't have much friends especially guy friends so this was all new to her.
"I'm Angel..." she smiled.
"Hi Angel." They all said at different times.

They finally ordered for food as Marty and Angel were chatting up, which Angel enjoyed considering he made her laugh a couple times.
Zara felt like she was raising a little sister or something it was a good feeling for her.
However Zara and Owen remained very touchy at the table which puzzled Zayn and Leo.

The food came to the table and they were all severed.
"Thank you" they all said again at different times the room filled with chatter, noise from the home TV that other people were watching. As even the people around them enjoyed their food which smelt amazing.
"Leo can you pass over the jar of pickles." Zara asked holding out her hand for them. Leo passed the cold jar over as she attempted to open it.
She paused and tried again.
That didn't work so she paused and tried it again.
"You want some help."
Owen asked looking at her, she turned over to Owen and by how close they were she blushed

"Uh. Yea." She said admiring him as they locked there eye site. He didn't even take the jar from her they just looked at each other in admiration. Which was broken soon after when they realized they were in front of people.
He opened the jar up for her and she thanked him this time looking down.
"You guys have something to tell us?" Leo asked
"No." They both said at different times pretending not to know what Leo might be referring to.
But their liking for each other increased each day as they saw each other.

"Okay..." Leo stated awkwardly as he watched them eat their food and laugh together and be touchy together.

Meanwhile it was a good day for Angel too because she really hit it off with Marty. And made her first ever guy friend.

It was finally time to leave and Angel, Marty, Owen and Zara walked home together and Leo and Zayn walked the opposite way.

"I think they like each other." Leo mumbled to Zayn keeping his eyes on Zara and Owen.
"Yea probably."
"They only met yesterday though?! So how does that even happen."
"Love at first sight." Zayn replied making a majestic gesture with his hands
"Bullshit." He uttered removing his eyes from them
"Bro don't tell me your jealous... the game is literally next week get your shit together." Zayn advised him as they walked home
