Chapter 46: Jealous

Breakfast was finally over and we were outside again ready to do our next activity. I saw Owen standing by Leo of course they looked like they were having a conversation and he still hadn't seen me. Maybe I was just a clingy person, but not seeing him all day made me feel some type of way.

"Today we are doing I scavenger hunt!" Josie exclaimed pausing to let Jeffry speak.                             "There will be 12 groups of 4 among all of you.  You will search inside and out of the cabin for keys that give your team points." He paused letting Josie speak again.                                                    
"The teams with the most points will win excess to the the cinema!" Josie concluded with joy as the crowd of students lit up with chatter and cheer.

"I'll pick your teams with Josie of course." Jeffry said while me and Ryan began to link arms so hey put us together. I looked over at Angel who was standing alone signaling her to come stand with us. And she came. "we okay now?" I whispered to her, and she looked at me and nodded with a smile linking my arms.

I saw Josie and Jeffry starting to separate the students in four they were completely random which scared me because I didn't want to be placed with anyone I didn't know. Josie reached Owen and Leo who were standing away from Marty who was already placed in a group.                    
Did Owen know what Marty said about Leo? I mean if he did he wouldn't be talking to Leo right now.

Anyways she put Owen in a group with Leo, Mitchel and Ashley-

Ashley??!!

"I forgot this bitch was still here." Ryan said glaring at Josie making her decision. "Yea same." Angel added. "How did she not get kicked out she doesn't even go here." I hissed I'm annoyance while watching Ashley try to talk to Owen. He talked to her back...It made me feel iffy.

Then Jeffry walked to us and pared me up with Angel and Ryan and some other random girl we didn't know. She had short red hair and her face was filled with freckles. "Hey I'm Zara." I smiled to her trying to get my mind off of Ashley. "I'm Sandy." she answered holding her hand out for me to shake it and I did.

"Hi Sandy." Angel cheered with joy in her face shaking her hand. Ryan waved to her in silence still having a smile on her face.

"Alright campers! It's time to start the hunt... NOW." Josie yelled blowing her whistle as all the teams ran off into the house. Leo, Mitchel, Ashley and Owen were still on the field.                              
"Lets go that way." I said pointing in there direction and walked to toward them.

I passed by Owen hoping he would notice and he did, grabbing my my arm to stop me as my group continued walking. "Hey." He smiled pulling me closer to him from behind latching his arms around me waist. "Hi." I said shyly
" I didn't see you at breakfast." I added to him crossing my arms in his grip.

"Yeaaa sorry about that, I had some stuff to do." He voiced sealing his sentence with a kiss to the side of my face. I blushed rolling my eyes and got out of his hug to face him. " What stuff?" I asked curiously. "Don't worry about it Z." He said quickly in defence. "okay?" I replied with a confused look and tone crossing my arms. And it was awkwardly silent after.

"I should get back to my group." I said to him making my eyebrows frown. And he nodded in response. I looked at him in a confused way before leaving. "Are you okay?" I asked                            
" Yea I'm fine." He said neutrally shrugging his shoulders.
"k." I replied walking away. Maybe I was being weird but he was hiding something or maybe not telling me something.

We were searching in the study hall of the huge cabin for any keys. This activity was actually fun I guess, my worries of Owen passed because I was getting distracted of finding the keys so far we were at 20 points. Pretty impressive for our first time. I was looking through the books and Angel was helping me while Ryan and Sandy were searching under the desks. This cabin might as well be a school it is huge and full of surprises.

"Find anything?" Sandy ask loudly getting Angel and my attention.                                                               "No." Angel chirped
"same." I added as we continued to search the room. The room had beaming lights through the high windows that made the room seem so welcoming. I moved to check the used book bin digging threw all the books to find a key.

" I got it! "I squealed catching everyone's attention who rushed to me. "How much points is it." Ryan chirped curiously.
"Its 30!." I cheered holding the cardboard key up for everyone to see it.    
"Pass it to me I'll add it into the bag." Angel implied holding her hand out for me to give her the key and I slapped it into her hand positively and she put it in a red small bag where we put the rest of the keys.

"We have 50 points now." Angel beamed with joy zipping up the bag. " Should we keep looking here or-"
"Lets just go." Ryan chirped cutting me off. And we walked out of the room.

My group were chatting about some random stuff but I was too focused on finding another key. I didn't even care about the movie, because I was really invested on winning. We had about 30 minutes left to win which made me nervous so I started spectating the other teams.
Looking at their facial expressions to determine whether they were doing better then me and my team.

I couldn't see anything that stood out to me so that was a good sign until I passed Owens group. "I found one." Ashley shrieked and the boys ran to her.

"See I told you guys Ashley was carrying us." Owen cheered giving her a high five.
"What the fuck." I made a face of disgust whispering to Ryan and Angel.

"She's just giving him a high five." Angel said trying to calm me down. She had a point, but and Owen and her to have some sort of chemistry and shared trauma..maybe he was just trying to be nice.
"Yea your right." I mentioned to Angel her words gave me some sort of tension relief. I couldn't get my eyes off of them talk and see Owen genuinely enjoy it. I can't help but be jealous.

Why was he enjoying her. She literally ruined his life?

I noticed Owen glanced at me for a second and I quickly looked away, I couldn't let him see that I was jealous because I didn't want to be needy or annoying to him. He walked up to me.

"Whats up Z." He said to me in a neutral tone with a slight bit of question.

"Oh.. nothing." I said looking away from him.
"Hows your group." I went on.                                             "It's actually fun as shit. We have 60 points now Ashley found a ten point key." He rambled              "Oh cool." I shrugged my shoulders acting like I wasn't jealous. 
"How many points do you guys have?" He asked making eye contact at the bag I held in my hand.
"50 points." I replied finally looking up at him.
"Not bad, but we're doing better." He teased me causing me to smile a bit.

"I wish you were in my group." I blurted making him smile.
"Next time." He replied as I watched him reach for my hand and held it up moving his fingers through each on of mine.
"Next time." I gushed watching his action not even paying attention to anything else around me.

"Owen we gotta go!" Ashley said loudly forcing him to turn. I and my trance stopped instantly as he let go. Out of all the people who had to say that why did it have to be her.? I hated how he forgave her.
"I'll see you soon Zara." Owen said in soft and warm tone. I looked at him forgetting how hot he was. I didn't want him to go with HER. "Okay." I smiled and he walked away.

I kept my eyes on him walk back to his group where he rejoined his conversation with Ashley. I hate being jealous. I had nothing to worry about, like it's Owen. "Zara we have to keep looking." Angel said softly placing her hand on my shoulder.
"Yea your right." I remarked and we continued to look through the hall way.
