Chapter 47: Loyal

All the groups were gathered in lounge waiting for Josie and Jeffry to say something the room was filled in chatter. While everyone's point bag was on a large table as Josie, Jeffry and other staff were counting them. Our group reached 200 points in under 30 minutes, that's only cause Ryan found a bonus.
"We are definitely going to win." I claimed nervously.
"We have 200 points.. who could possibly top us." Ryan added squeezing onto my hand.

It was crazy how I let this activity effect me so much that my heart was racing. Jeffry picked up a micro phone so all of the lounge could hear him. I squeezed onto Angels hand causing her to grunt in pain from my action. "Zara calm down." She laughed while I loosened my grip on her hand. "Sorry." I giggled

"We counted all of the points in each groups.. thanks to the staff we got it done quicker." Jeffry announced into the mic. To be honest I wouldn't care if I lost, but I was more scared if Owens group won cause then he would have to watch a movie with Ashley. Who I still hate by the way. I let go of Ryan's sweaty palms, or maybe they were just mine and I crossed my fingers tight.

"The winner is...."

"The group of Ryan, Sandy, Angel and Zara!!"
Thank God.

I watched the girls jump up and down in excitement as I finally took a deep breath out because I had been holding it for a while. "Come up here laddies and grab the keys to the cinema." He announced with joy and the girls and I strutted to the front of the lounge. Feeling on top of the world all my worries were gone and my heart moved in a slow paste.

Ryan snatched the key from Jeffry hand making him startle a bit.
"sorry." I apologized for her and hugged my group.

The day of activities were done, we only did 3 today and they were kind of boring but everyone was chilling around the cabin. I was alone I hadn't seen Owen anywhere so I just chilled in the kitchen.
"Hey Zara." Leo said walking up to me. I was happy to see him.
"Hi Leo." I sighed indicating I wasn't really happy. "What's wrong?" He threw me a confused look. I didn't want to gush about Owen to him I have Angel and Ryan for that, besides he's in love with me. And we never really talked about it now that Owens here, I don't want to bring it up at all.

"Nothing, just bored I guess." I uttered to him with a smile as he stood in front of me the island being in between us. "I never got to congratulate you." He admitted getting a smile from me. "So congrats for winning." he added handing me a glass of water I didn't ask for.
"Thanks??" I said confused at the glass of water he gave me.                                                 
"Sorry I just thought-"
"No its okay." I said cutting him off sipping the drink. Watching him scratch the back of his neck nervously.

"So. How many points did you get?" I asked breaking the silence.
"We had 150." He answered leaning onto the island with his hands.
"Well we had 200 so.." I said in a braggy way.                           
"Ouch!" He smiled sarcastically throwing his hand to his chest. Making me laugh.

"Where did you get all those points from." He asked "Ryan found the bonus." I answer with a hint of cockiness.
"The bonus!" he boasted snapping his finger at the thought.
"Yup." I snickered playfully.
"You got lucky." he smiled at me drinking from the glass of water he gave me.                  
"I guess we did." I said taking the glass from him and sipping from it. Obtaining a smirk from him. And silence appeared into our conversation

"What movie are you even going to watch." He asked killing the silence. Which made me wonder what movies were there even to watch. "I don't knoww." I let out. Silence ending that topic.           
"So where's Owen?" I asked him finally.

"I'm not sure.. The last I saw him he was in our room." He stated.
"Oh okay." I answered looking away from him.
"I could go look for him if you want." He said quickly after I finished my statement. He's such a good friend.
"It's okay." I said with a soft smile
"Buttt. You can come to the cinema with me to pick a movie." I concluded watching him smile. 
"sure." he said shrugging his shoulders.
